I hate calling somebody if I need something for work and having to leave a voicemail instead of actually talking to a person.

I believe this stems from the fact that I never check my own voicemail, and the fact that I hate having to listen to an entire ****ing message over again if I missed the phone number the first time.  I dont really see the point in leaving a message instead of sending an email if the person works in a friggin' office.

so this is specifically about work use?

yeah, i call the waitresses on their phones when they are outside smoking a cigarette/havingsecks/talking with a friend and leave them a long nasty message that if i have to come outside and tell them their ****ing order is ready and if they take it out and bring it back saying its cold then i'm going to summon my king kong card planted deep within my soul and unleash a massive wave of destruction among anything moving within eye sight.

j/k.

I don't mind voicemails but unnecessarily long messages are retarded. Just leave your name and number and you can tell me all about it when I call back.

But if you're not going to return people's voicemails you should probably say something to that effect in your message.

i hate everyone at work who has nextel cause they dont get service a lot of the time.  luckily the boss i call has sprint/nextel so he usually has signal, but with nextel only phones i either have to leave a message or call back 5 times to try and catch them

I work in a office and I hate when people leave me messages on the answering machine. When I push play- and I cant understand it or something, and I dont push Replay fast enough- I have to listen to every freakin one before it and it ruins my day!

hmmm, maybe this is more of an issue with the execution of the machines...  they should have an option where you push a button and it replays the last 10-20 seconds.  that'd make life much easier.

ugh, texting is the absolute worst.  I don't mind if the ladies text message me cause they're purdy and smell good, but if you are a man and you're text messaging me, you need to be prepared to get punched in the face.  I'm not gonna take 5 minutes hitting the same buttons three times each to text back, "**** you, texting is for girls, asshat" instead of taking 5 seconds to call and cuss you out.
