So I consider myself a car enthusiast, because I can respect almost any car that has a lot of work in it and/or is clean. I like all makes and models and have owned Nissan, Subaru, and Ford. Never owned a Honda, but have driven quite a few.

Anyways, I have been a member for a while on a forum and every since I picked up my S197, they dont see as much willing to talk or converse, as well as act different. I know a few joke around, but honestly I know there are a few that hate these cars, and have never even step foot in them!

So my question to you is, how brand loyal are you?

you'll also get people who donn't like a particular model mustang in here.... sad really...

I'm not brand loyal, but I cannot stand toyota because they haven't done anything exciting in years

I am however slightly model loyal, as I'm pretty sure I'll always love Mustang and Corvette over any of their competiors

Being brand loyal is one of the stupidest things I've heard. It's like being the dumb sheep that always follows. I'm not brand loyal to anything. Now that's not to say that some brands aren't the best and I don't buy them time and time ago because of that, but if they suddenly turned to **** overnight, I'm not going to waste my money because I support their brand.

I'm just loyal to whatever is the best to me at the time.

I have owned a few Fords, and have always bought domestic with the exception of a Subaru.

My brother is the most brand loyal person I know.  His wife drives a Chevy Trailblazer, he drives a new Chevy Silverado and his company car is a Chevy SS Monte Carlo.

I'm not brand loyal. Whoever builds the best vehicle when I'm in the market is the one I go with. I would never have owned another Ford after the experience I had with my Bronco (in the shop 29 time) but the Stang was too good to pass up.

ive only had 2 cars (two mustangs) but when i was shopping for my most recent car i would have went with anything sporty.. but i really wanted another mustang (pony cars for life) and im glad i got one..  i know my dad prefers to buy ford cars and chevy trucks..  he said every non chevy truck hes had has busted down on him right after warranty and hes just always had good luck with ford cars..

almost all of my boyfriends friends/family make fun of my car because its a ford.. im serioulsy sick of fkin hearing 'well thats because of the blue badge on it' whenever i mention something may be wrong with it..   the bf sees it bothers me sometimes and defends me/it but it really pisses me off sometimes..

i think you'll find brand loyalty mostly with the lower class. yes their are snooty bicthes that will ONLY drive a lexus or some **** like that , but i feel there is a bigger share of this in the lower class.

someone brought up something about lowe class people being brand loyal....i kind of agree, but there are people in the middle class that only swear by X for life.  when i was car shopping, i had a few people beg me not to get a jap car or another import, then some said 'they are all trash if you get one ill punch you in the face'.

somehow brand loyalty reminds me of racism....

I'm brand loyal with the "classics" I've owned thus far (i.e., 1971 'Cuda, 1970 Dodge, 1971 Road Runner, etc.), but not with my daily drivers. I've owned a BMW, and IROC, and a Dodge Ram among others. All of them I've bought simply because I liked them. Assuming the Challenger is a nice driving, riding, handling performance car, I'll likely buy one next year. I like the car on paper. If it's not, then GT500 or Saleen.

being brand loyal is almost as stupid as being someone who hates a car because of the size of the engine

.....yeah, but its not stupid if they hate a car because of skinny wheels/tires, single exhaust and no fog lights.

Then are you brand loyal? Or do you buy because they are nice and fit you well? Brand loyal means ignoring anything else that's obviously superior, simply to be hard headed and support a single company. Or with clothing, wearing something just to follow a trend. That's the least brand loyal you can get. You're just using them to look cool, and when the fad moves on, so will you.

Brand loyalty is just plain silly.

Pretty much any car I buy will either be a Chevrolet or a Ford and I haven't bought a Chevrolet in years.  Yeah, a lot of it is built in Mexico or Canada but what are you gonna do?  Grew up in a Chevrolet household, first car was a 67 Chevelle, 2nd & 3rd were ElCaminos, 4th & 5th were 68 Firebirds.  Then I bought a 64 Fairlane and I haven't looked back.

I have always had best luck with the Fords.  Owned several GM's with various degrees of luck.  I just like Fords rwd platforms.  I prefer the Expedition to the Tahoe and the '02 Mustang to cumarrow or firebirds.

Hell, even my boat has a 351W in it.

As far as the classics go, I love em all but again, prefer Fords.  Their styling and powerplants just send me more than the others.
Mopars are out.  Crap. Can't think of many I'd even want to own other than the odd classic mopar.
