Went to the track tonight, well not really the main track around here, but a quarter mile none the less. And the time was...14.3 - whoa whoa whoa that was surprising. With a trap speed of 97.7 mph. Lowered tire pressure, timing advance, 100 octane fuel, and a light light gas tank, good thing i brought some extra. I hooked up amazingly the first time after warming up the tires a little bit, and the time was probably the best I can do with my current mods, maybe a shade better on the shifts.

That would be tight. Hopefully driveshaft, and maybe some gears, that should help out. But that wont be til next spring. Otherwise, not too sure what else I want to do before college. Possibly a new MAF too.

you got stock gears? i'm thinkin about a ds too, but i wanna lower it first. have you messed wit suspension yet?

not at all, and yeah i have stock gears, or at least the ones that came with the car when I got it used. But it was totally stock then, so I dont think that they would have put gears in and it feels like 3.08s. I dont really want to lower it, partly because my Hpipe hangs low, and I dont want to scrape, and if i get a new one i have to reset all the cat back positioning and stuff so no thanks, but ds yes.

the guy that sold me my car said it had 355's, but i was never sure he was tellin the truth. what mph are you at when you shift outta first at redline? how bout cruisin at 45 in 4th?

45 in fourth is about 2200 and I dont know about shifting, I listen not look. This is a a quarter mile over in St. Charles, but its really not a public place. I know a guy over there that is huge into cars, and set up a track on his property believe it or not. Its all legit with light and timing and stuff, but only problem is that its not wide enough for two cars, it would cost twice as much and this guy just wants to test his cars and stuff. He actually races professionally I believe.

If you pick up some tires or you can lower your somewhat ugly 2.1 60 foot, you could see 14.0...the general rule of the thumb is, every tenth off your 60 foot is 2 tenths at the end of the track..
