I'v been reading and learning here for a few months, thought I would register and contribute.

I'v been a Mustang fan for decades.  Rebuilt a few, including a '69 GT and a '66 coupe that's been in my family since '79.   I've built a number of small block fords over the years - some sensible, and some not so much.  ;)

My most recent project is a Factory Five Racing roadster ('65 Cobra Replica).  I cruise the streets, and run the road course with it.  It's anything but sensible.  Small light weight car with a huge engine.  Makes well over 500hp.  It's very fast, very loud, and more fun than should be legally allowed.

My favorite Mustang has always been the '69 FB - especially those 4 headlights.  The Fox bodies and SN95's are nice, but didn't make my socks go up and down.  When the '05's came out, I was in love again.  The interior and body lines look so much like my first love.  I'v been lusting after one ever since.

A few weeks back the time was finally right.  I bought an '08 Mustang;  V6, 5 speed, lots of doo-dads, gee-gaws, and electronic wizardy.   Since purchase, I have added tinted windows, a CAI, Brenspeed tune, and a GT muffler.  I love this car.  Fun to drive, comfortable, great gas mileage, decent power.  Takes my breath away just looking at it.  It does make my socks go up and down!

It's my new daily driver and long distance cruiser.  I won't be making any more performance changes under the hood.  Although a turbo would sure be nice.  I'm considering lowering it for looks and a better ride.  But I want to make some changes to make it visually more like a '69 GT -  Blacked out hood, hood pins, '69 hood scoop with the turn signals in the back, honeycomb back panel, etc.   I'll be making those changes over the next year or so.

Anyway, I'll try to make positive contributions.
