Got a v6 convertible abotu a week ago and im hearing a strange noise comeing from the engine... or at least i think its the enginge.. about every ten seconds or around there i was hearing what i thought was a click... but upon further inspection is more of a short hiss or a puff of air... a sort of "fsst" really quickly then about 8-12 seconds later i hear it again... "fsst" I thought it was maybe wheel associated but it does the same thing sitting still at the light... seems to be independent of acceleration also-- as in it doesnt get faster or slower when im on the gas.
any ideas? the dealer kept babbling abotu how i MUST keep the gas cap on correctly and im sure that ive done that so other than that im not sure what it could be? any of you hard toppers drive witht he window down and hear this?
Check out your air compressor in the engine.... I noticed the other day that mine starts and stops, especially when the AC is on. Pop the hood and turn the engine on, you will see it start and stop. Not sure if this is the problem on yours or not. I am taking mine back to the dealer this week to get it checked out.

Mine does the exact same thing. From my experience with A/C systems, the compressor only kicks on and off like that when it's low on charge. The A/C seems cold, so maybe it's a bad pressure sensor.
I was just about to ask the same question. Mine does the exact same thing. Sometimes it does it only when I start the car, then no more. But sometimes it does it the whole time I am driving, unless I turn off the a/c then it completely goes away. Im taking it to the dealership this weekend to have them fix it because I mean it only has 350 miles and stupid **** is already going wrong.
I noticed that in the first week so I took it down to my dealer, and they told me right away that it was the A/C (also when defroster is on), and that it is normal

I was also told it is normal. I'm pretty sure it is not, though. Like I said, the clutch should be engaged as long as there is adequated pressure in the return line.

-Stickling i get a raddle from my right air vent with the a/c on.. so i took it into the dealer and got it replaced and its raddling again
Mine does the same thing, I took it to the dealership this past weekend and they said that it was the A/C and something to do with the freeon pressure. It clicks to turn off due to the pressure buildup, and then clicks again when it comes back on after pressure is decreased. So thats what they said.
