How much and how hard to install? Ive been thinking about a shifter.

king, this is definitely a do it yourself project. Requires no special tools and the entire job can be done in well less than an hour taking your time. I did mine in about 1/2 an hour taking my time and using dynomat to cut down on noise as well as locktite on all the threads to reduce the chance of them coming loose from vibration. There are some "how to install" this shifter on here that make it brainless.

I took mine to the dealer and was given a 1 hr time and $80.00 EST to install so because I have no Garage and not a lot of tools and I live in an APT I said ok. It took them 3 hr. to install it and they told me the next guy would pay more then $80 bucks. But they stuck to the $80 install price for me and I was happy.

If the Hurst came with something other that a big ugly white shift knob I would be all for it...but since I have dark interior, I think I will be going with MGW

Wow 3 hours? It took my brother and I about fortyfive minutes to install my Hurst shifter.

MRT has some cool ones too I got this Yellow Pony Ball from them.

I got the shifter from Summit Racing equipment. I had a local shop install it. I don't have the patience to mess with it.

My pony is white with the charcoal leather interior, so the white shifter knob works for me. It's classic looking in my opinion...
