Question, I just got a set of rims/tires and put them on the car, and noticed that inside the rims are glue. I know acetone is good on removing glue, but I was wondering if it would harm the paint on the rims. I tried WD40, but that didn't really help much. Any suggestions?
Do not use acetone on your rims if they are painted. You run a high risk of striping the paint off. If anything try useing bug and tar remover. Or go to rour local auto store and ask for sugjestions. You dont want ruin the rims. Good luck.

no acetone on ANYTHING!!!! they will ruin painted objects, plastic, and pretty much anything on your car. WD40 and use alot and let it sit, then get rough and get the stuff off. or use Goo-Gone, that stuff great.
Ok.....I'll give the WD a second chance.....I was gonna use a degreaser on them when I wash the car today....I'll see how the WD works first. THANKS!!!!
Glue? Goof-Off or GooGone or somesort of glue remover but NOT acetone. You might want to wax the black part and leave the wax on while cleaning the glue to keep any adhesive solvent from getting on the painted surfaces. WD-40 might work, but dont get it on you for any length of time or it will absorb into the skin.
