Well now that I got my tint fixed and redone, on to the next project...It seems the previous owner had some chips on the front lip of the hood. It looks like they touched it up and possibly tried to speed up drying with a heat gun or blow dryer (the touch up looks like it was splattered on). In any case, all the little touch ups are blistered or show signs of solvent popping...all along the lip...And I've picked at one tiny spot and found what appears to be white stuff. Any ideas what that is? Filler material maybe?
I've looked up repairs and it simply say to redo or rework. I was thinking of actually just sanding down most of the lip, prime, repaint, and blend, but decided I should probbaly jsut do one pop at a time to make sure it will work first. So I will sand down the mark, prime if I have to, stick on the coats, wet sand, and then use rubbing compound and repolish. Is there anything I need to look out for? Any additional tips? Thanks in advance...
