Thank you.

Well 95LT1, I could think of about a thousand responding remarks that your little rant sparked, but in the end.........it isn't necessary.  You "owned" yourself on this one.  The Shelby is not an aftermarket Mustang.  It is a genuine Ford produced mustang.  The Shelby name was merely licensed for use on the GT500 for nostalgia purposes.  Shelby's input on the development of the car was sideline only.  Furthermore, as pointed out........the Saleen mustang IS an aftermarket mustang.  -2 points for you. You obviously don't know your enemy very well.  And like most half-ass car enthusiasts on the net you obviously don't know anything worth taking into consideration.

Try learning something before trying to swing your meat in here.

Keep praying for the second coming of the Camaro ,95LT1.......right now the only jackass in this thread is you.

He's full of s**t.  He sounds just like the two LS1 driving knuckleheads that I work with.  You sit there and listen to them talk about their Z's and you'd swear they could break the sound barrier with those things.  Both are cammed, both have full exhaust................both have fallen to my GT.  Alot of 4th gen guys talk a good game........and don't deliver.  So unless that LT1 has been seriously built up I'm not gonna waste my time "internet racing" with you.

BTW you sound curiously like another young '95 LT1 driving sh*t-talker that got porked around this forum some months ago.  Keep your Loser Tram 1 Z28 and go talk to ppl who care about how your car beats 747's.

LMAO thats funny I have not once said my car would break sound barriers or anything else or beat 747s LMAO, right now my car has a few mods nothing too extravegant yet, I stay on the south side of fort worth Ktown, I am not saying that my car cannot be beaten by a mustang I am saying that my car cannot be beaten by a mustang that does not have alot of work done to it, case in point my sister in law has I think its an 02 cobra no mods she cannot keep up at all my buddy with a fox body converty blown (I think it is a B&M) and I dont know what boost he is running with, is absolutely no match for my naturally aspirated stroked 383, if you would like to get together and race lets do it that is the whole reason I have my car is to go out and have fun with it, if I win I win if I lose I will still shake your hand and tell you good race and I will even post here that I was owned by a mustang. I like winning but am man enough to admit if I lose and its more about the fun in it than anything else and this blood will probably think that this message is me renouncing what I have said previously however it is not.

Man, 95LT1........do you have a split personality or something?  You stirred things up and now you're talking like a sane member of the car enthusiast hobby.  I suggest not sticking around this section and arguing over who has what in their jeans........go to the Street/Strip section of this forum and you'll find much more satisfying car/race talk.  It is home to alot more than just cocky mustang fanboys also..........so the BS is kept to a minimum.

Only thing though......I think you're mistaken about your sis's Cobra:  there was no Cobra produced in 02.  In 99 and 01 there was an NA 32V DOHC Cobra that "supposedly" made 320hp.  Then SVT skipped production in 02 and came back in 03/04 with the supercharged 32V Cobras rated at 390hp.  The only Cobra made in 00 was the limited production Cobra R, of which there were only 300 built.  Just a little heads up for ya.

With that having been said, I think we should get back to the topic of this thread......which is the upcoming 5th generation Camaro.  Enough with all the bickering about past and current production cars.

Tell me about it.  I had to help pull the motor out of my friend's 96 Trans Am..........THAT was an exercise in frustration.

We took off the front nose and took a fair bit of the frontend apart so we could ease the engine out of the front of the engine compartment.  I wouldn't recommend going that route if you don't want headaches.  If you can, get it on a lift and drop the engine.  We couldn't do it because we didn't have access to a lift of any kind.

well not trying to start anything but it might be the way they were taken care of and maybe not the cars themselves, my 95 has 116xxx on it and was rebuilt 15500 ago because the kid I bought it from had it bored and stroked then other than that it has never been apart for any major work.

You are actually behind the times. There is actually a link at the top of the cnn link you posted, but I'll post that link anyways becasue you "accidentally" overlooked it:

I'm not sure where all the fuss and confusion involving the "4 door mustang" started, but that all had to do with the creation of the Interceptor concept........a 4 door RWD V8 powered sedan based on the mustang platform.  I guess ppl heard "sedan prototype" and "mustang" in the same sentence and started to hyperventilate.
