for 1 i think it looks like a demented 05 mustang.. not a chevy fan but i thats a total copy off the mustang not sure if they would be heading in the right direction with it but i dont like it at all, looks NOTHING like a camaro to me

Well its possible, but i dont think it will come back, IMO the corvette was payed more attention to then the camaro and i think they will continue with the vette and loose the camaros. I cant see how that looks like a camaro and I think they would loose out because in 07 the sheldy gt500 will blow that away if it were to be made.
the GTO isnt a big hit so GM will bring back the Camaro I am sure and it will look just like that pic posted too. its BS but thats life in the business world. the SSR didn't make a great seller either. a GM flop

That picture is a rendering of what a fan of Camaros thinks it should look like, and it came out over a year ago before the 05s were ever introduced. No Copying was done.
It's usually done just to bring hype. Look at the T-birds. Those were sure winners. Let's take an already crappy car and re do it! Then let's charge $45k for it! OMGWHATAWINNARIAM!
The T-Bird is made by ford, it cant be a crappy car. A crappy car would be anything by GM. (chevy, hummer, saab etc)
Psh ford makes plenty of crappy cars, only ford ied ever buy is the stang which i have. Anything else should be imported like a honda, them guys run forever

i hate to say it but if the camaro comes back it's top offering won't be faster than the mustangs top offering. the 07 shelby is definitely quicker than a base vette, and there's no way they'd make the new camaro quicker than their flagship offering.

Is it a cool looking concept? Hell Yes! Will GM build it ? I don't think so. GM can't decide which direction they want/need to go. On one hand they have Cadillac's new RWD/AWD platform. Which is clearly heading in the right direction. They drop the RWD Zeta Platform for the U.S. Wrong direction! They have the tired old FWD W-body cars that they are putting these new 303hp v8's in. Wrong direction! Who in there right mind would pay over $30K for that, when they could have newer cooler RWD 345 hp Hemi V8 designs like the Chrysler 300 or Dodge Magnum/Charger in the same price range.They tried to fill the f-body void with the GTO and we all have seen how well they were recieved. Since they are obligated to Holden for a certain number of units over the next couple of years, GM should take half of them in SuperSport Commodore 4dr sedans. It would be very interesting to see if they could outsell the GTO.

GM was starting a RWD platform called "Zeta" but they've scrapped it. They are considering reviving RWD in the lineup, but there is no firm time line. Which means if they don't have it in the pipe now, you won't see it until at least 2008-2009 -- and that's only if they make a decision within the next couple of months and fast-track the program. More likely would be a 2010 or later intro. It takes YEARS to get a new car from the drawing boards to production. Even the original Viper took, I believe, 3 years to go from show car to production and that was considered one of the fastest design-to-production runs ever.
Eh, they can never bring it back, wouldn't hurt my feelings any. I doubt we'll see anything that outperforms the LS1 and the 4.6 DOHC motor anytime soon. I mean hell, they have to stop adding horsepower at some point to stock cars. Ford's about to pass up the Ford GT, and the base Vette only has 400hp. If they did bring out another f-body, it'd have <400hp. What's the point? The stock LS1 f-body puts down around 360-370 at the crank. A couple bolt-ons throws you over 400 pretty easily.
Basically, I wouldn't spend $30k on a new Camaro packing 400hp. The only way I could see it, is if they brought one out with a forged bottom end and some sort of FI on it.

Thats excatly my thoughts. In my eyes the camaro will NEVER come back or atleast for a very long time and they will replace it with the cobalt... Wasn't there also something about toyota buying GM anyways?
GM isn't for sale. There r rumors that they would sell one or two of their branches but I don't see it happening. Think about it. Why would you sell one of your weapons to the enenmy? What I see them doing is droping one of their branches that is in my opinion the most likely thing to happen.
