I cannot even think of words to explain how much better the car is.  I do not care if you race your car or never will, this kit is unbelievable.  The throttle response is a million times better.  I noticed as soon as I touched the pedal warming it up.

Forget the power, I can now safely say I would now beat my previous 03' Z06.

I have no idea what I am putting down at this point, but there is no way I would even even consider any more power than this.  You would need to have drag radials on there constantly, leaf springs, ladder bars or whatever they use today if you did more, and I am not willing to sacrafice the ride of the car to do that.

Jim III, if you read this, I have had about 35 cars in my life, and nothing compares to this car now by a mile!  It has the amazing looks, and the power to go along with it now.  Thanks!

450 to the wheels. I cannot beleive how different it feels.  Even if you do not go fast, the drievability of the car is so much better.  The response is sick.  The S/C kicks on really quick now.  I would say if you go like 25-30% throttle, the S/C kicks right in, of course at a low boost since you are not moving much, but it is amazingly different.  Before, if I was in 5th, and had to slow down to like 40, I either had to downshift, or just wait to get some speed back up.  Now, if I go down to 40 in 5th, I can stay there, and pick speed up really quick while still in 5th.  I know that may not be a big deal to some, but just figured I would mention it as that is another difference I noticed so far.

If you don't have the dual Fuel Pumps in it now, have the A/F checked to make sure your not running lean up on top.

Yeah, I am going to go easy with it, and get the pump installed in the next 2 weeks.  Jim for JDM said I should be fine as long as I do not go over like 120.  I will not go near that until I get the pum installed.

Was this a DIY project, or did JDM perform the work?

I've been thinking about getting this package for awhile, but JDM is a little bit of a hike for me. I would probably need to do it myself but I wasn't sure how difficult it would be.

Congrats on the upgrade! Seems like money well spent. Now go out there and enjoy it!

I did it myself.  Honestly, it was really pretty simple.  The hardest part for me was the belt.  You have to remove the alternator (2 bolts), then the bracket that holds in the Alternator (3 nuts) as the belt is ran through the bracket.  I have not done many serpentines in the past, but I followed the diagram on the hood.  This may be simple for most, but was the hardest part for me.

I bought a plug wrench from Advanced Auto for $13.00 which was a lifesaver also.  It was basically a 6 inch extension with a magnetic 9/16 swivel socket attached to the end of it (non removable)

If you are mechanicly inclined at all, and have done things such as alternator replacement before, this is not a difficult task. I thought overall it was an easy job.

Thanks.  I cannot wait.  Going to take a lot of getting used to, but it is much more fun to drive now.  I do have a quesiton for you.  You always say to "drive it like you stole it" after a throttle restet.  Should I really do that so that it learns aggressively or something or are you just kidding when you say that?  If you are kidding, I feel stupid, but I have to ask.  Thanks!

Not a joke at all . Anytime you reprogram the computer, the computer needs to relearn all the parameters of the new tune. It needs to adjust so you need to drive it hard so the computer can adjust at all rpms

I just had the the 3.4 pulley, vacuum lines, and new tune installed.....WOW what a difference. If any one cares, I was able to use the 3.8 (1080 belt) belt on the 3.4 pulley without any slippage. JDM estimates it at 435RWHP

Nice to see you are still around Hot Rod. I am hoping for about the same power you have going.

Yes, I have the upgraded injectors and same stock plugs. Maybe I should upgrade the plugs, didn't really ask JDM about that. But my car still retains the covered air filter housing and the 98mm mass air unit. no twin fuel pumps.

I did not do the fuel pump yet, but I did do the upgraded JDM airbox, and the H20 plugs.  Not sure how much difference that is, but I am thinking the airbox is big as the SC will now be trying to pull more air.  I also did the Mass air that comes with the stage II kit.  I have ot find a place to do the fuel pump.  That is the only part I am not wanting to do myself.  JDM says I am safe as long as I stay under like 120MPH for now until I get the pump in there.

05Hotrod or secretly(******), make sure when Earl's puts in the 10lb pulley belt, that he re-sets the tune into the car so the computer only learns how the car behaves with that proper belt, and as mentioned above, push the car hard at points, so the computer learns the true potential of the set up early on. I did that with the E-car tune, and I still love being at 62mph or so, popping the clutch and gas, shifting down from 5th, and going stellar in 3rd gear. Erik
