I think we can answer this question with some reasoning here.....

Is this not the same as:

If you were to travel at the exact speed of sound at sea level and say you attached a very very lound air horn on the outside of the jet and set it off would you hear it?

I think if you were already traveling at the speed of light and THEN turned on the lights, the light would never leave the lamps....if you were looking at it from the front you would see the lamps luminated but the light wouldnt actually project outwards...

If you turned the lights on FIRST then hit light speed you would never catch up and I think your light would look projected

Therefore....

In conclusion.

If you were going at light speed and turned on your headlights....
You would need to add a headlight-s/c to your car.

i assume with the blue/redshift effects of lightspeed, the lightwaves would appear to have such a low wavelenght that they wouldnt be perciptable to the human eye

what about if you had HID's

I think that would make up for the speed of light lag

if we are to ignore the fact that no material thing can go even close to the speed of light, let alone reach it, this problem can still be solved with einsteins postulates.

1. the form of each physical law is the same in all inertial frames
2. light moves at the same speed relative to all observers

that is to say that, if you are going at a constant speed (must be constant), and that speed is the speed of light, then light will still move at light speed relative to your speed.

so that means light will move away from you at light speed. relative to an observer who is not moving, light would seem to move at twice light speed.

there have been many experiments that have proven this, but none have disproven it.

when u flip on the lights the light would travel up and then it will shine you in the eyes, blind you, and you will swerve and hit a wormhole, and then when you come out on the other side you will have travled like Han Solo made the Kesal run in less than 5 parsects....

so basically you are saying light can travel at unlimted speeds?   What about if you were traveling at the Speed of Light x 5 and turned on your lights...you are saying that the light would still move away from you at the speed of light?

Don't you mean parsec? A parsec is a length, not a measure of time. It is a little more than 19,000,000,000,000,000 miles.

Yes. But then again it depends on what reference frame your looking at it from.

yes, we know, but "made the kessel run in less than 12 parsecs" is the line from Star Wars

Family guy mentioned it, lemme see if i can find the clip...

Yea, I know. Screen writers should at least get the lingo right.

you have to look at einstein's theory of relativity, and also, the sound barrier, which is a similar threshold.

at the speed of light, space and time start to take on weird properties.

it also sucks because you can't use the speed of sound to compare; the speed of light is not surpassable.

you actually cannot look at it even theoretically because theory provides that it would be impossible.
