I absolutely love the look of Matte Black on black. There is a guy that lives near me that has a GT/CS with dual 10" flat stripes to match his GT/CS stripes on the fenders and doors. I turned him onto Aerospace 303 at a cruise-in because I could see his were starting to get that dry look. If you do go with the matte stripes, use the Aerospace about once every 4 washes to keep them nice and new looking. I always wash the stripes first, apply the Aerospace, and then wash the entire car. The Aerospace even makes the water bead like there's a coat of wax on them, so I know it does a good job. My stripes have some chips in them from rocks, but nothing that a sharpie won't cover. The matte black stripe is so cool and retro looking on these newer era muscle cars. I say Do It!

See, I'm getting mine painted, I was going to go with dual 10" stripes with pinstripe on the outside and inside of each stripe...just so it is a little different. So it would be like that pic above me but with a pinstripe on the inside of each as well.
