That's just because performance parts for Mustangs are alot more expensive then for a GTP. Plus i got the cheapest set of headers you can buy for a GTP too. A better set would of been twice as much. Also a GTP with 300 whp WILL run mid 12's. That GTP will have over 400 wtq. That torque makes a huge difference. I doubt a stock cobra makes 370 whp either. Maybe 330 whp, since it's 390 at the crank. I can show you videos of 300 whp GTPs running mid 12's and trapping 112 mph if you like.

LOL, 390 at the crank is a lie, its more like 420 at the crank and 360-370 at the wheels, they were underrated from the factory.  I really dont/didnt see a GTP with 300whp making 400lbs of tq to the wheels.

^^why ask? just show em....although there is no way to tell that they're puttin down the numbers you say with the mods you claim.

im not sayin, im just sayin

besides i dont think any car that runs 11's a peon, and i dont know why you decided to menstrate all over Blue. But seeing how you can just think of 30 off the top of your head im sure you posting proof will should be interesting...

ok 420 crank HP, w/e. A 360-370 whp GTP will still have 470 wtq. I doubt a stock cobra has anywhere near that.

Here's a 300 whp GTP running 12.7 @ 112 on street tires.

Mods on this GTP are: 2.9 pulley, ZZP intercooler, XP cam, PCM, intake, exhaust (no headers)

Cant watch the videos because I'm at work.  And if a S/C Mustang GT cant run a 12.7 than he needs to learn how to drive.  I cant watch the vid at work, so does anyone know what year the Mustang is?

It was a 99-04 GT, and it had the same blower as the GTP did, a small eaton M90.

And about the massive TQ nu8mbers that GTP's put down here's a page with the specs of my VS cam. Look towards the bottom right above the green writing where it says ''Rob Archer made 285.5 WHP and 381.4 ft-lbs torque with the VS cam''. That's non Intercooled like i am also.

Do you know what type of small eaton?  Most Mustang owners either slap on a Kenne Bell, Vortech, Procharger or other type name brand S/C's.  I've never heard of anyone putting on an Eaton M90 on a Mustang.  I actually didnt know you could.

Those 2 dont add up. Looks like the Cobra really didnt know how to drive. The GT i can see....if it is what you say it is, then props to the GTP. But yet again there's no way to tell for sure, so i give you partial credit

And That's what i was told. That it was the same blower that the GTP has. A Eaton M90 roots type blower.

Unless someone fabricated an M90 Eaton, its not going on a Mustang GT, its way to small and fits differently than a Roots or Whipple.

You'd have to ask the owner of the Stang for further details but it was a Blown V-8 losing to a Blown V-6. The GTP won by 1 car length or so.

My bad, thought the first link you brought up was against a Cobra. I mis-interpreted since you mentioned "stock cobra".

I'm hijacking the thread back to HONDAs. Why does everyone get bent out of shape if they loose to a Honda? You already know anything can be made fast, including hondas. They, like a lot of other car manufactures have a racing division, make race cars and sporty cars, and croch rocket motorcyles and such, and is a decent platform to build if your looking to do things a little cheaper and still go pretty fast. I'm not saying it's the best buy any means, and If I had to do it again I don't know if I would build a Honda, but it is what it is. A kid can buy a CRX, do a motor swap and be easily in the 12's depending on which motor and supporting mods for under 3.5 k. He could put together a turbo kit and be in the 11's or maybe even high 10's. Kinda like being beaten by a lotus exige if you want to look at it from a power to wieght thing, and I think most people will not cry about bieng beaten by an exige. His car deffinatly won't be nice, but it will be fast and would have been cheap. Now that's not gonna be all hondas though, like mine. My car is a heavier platform, and I have a lot more in it and I'll be happy if I can dip into the 11's.

Well minus the race division part...im sure it comes from the what goes on in the streets. And well, the stereotype "Honda = Ricer guy" mentality is a big part of it. NTM, majority of those "ricers" have bad taste (compared to most) and think their rides are sexy (I wonder what kind of people they think are sexy?). All that contributes negativity regardless of the car's potential. However, most who have respect give it where respect is due.

That goes for any make or model in this section......even GTPs if it's warranted . We have a very diverse group in here. Welcome.
