RoFL, that's too much.  BRO, it's a VIDEO GAME, not REALITY!  Speaking of GT 500's though, I just saw I AM LEGEND with Will Smith, bad aSS GT 500 scene in the beginning!

Yeah that car is bad ass. When I graduate college in 2 years I'm going to treat myself to that car or a original bronco

How do you choose between a New GT500 or an Original Bronco? Is their a personal story to that one or just something you always wanted?

OP- So you were racing a 1960 Shelby GT500?

Hmm. A 1960, huh? Must have been one of those super special ultra mondo rediculous rare 1960 models that came out before the concept for the original Mustang did. I heard they had 14,000,000 rwhp, too.

It had to be, It was probably number 5 out of the -10 that were made. I hear that 5 was the fastest and most special of them all.

Well the only two racing game generas that have close to real world driving are Forza and Grand Turismo. The new GT-500 is light years above the old 66-70 models. The 68 GT-500 with the 429 Cobra Jet engine was the fastest, however, the new GT-500 is still a leap in technology and performance away. If memory serves me right, the 68 GT-500 was capable of low 13s, high 12s and the new GT-500 runs low to mid 12s all day, not to mention that it wouldn't wreck when trying to make a tight turn.

Go play Forza and race the two, the new GT-500, out the box, is a much, much, much better car.

i agree with Jthorn for the most part.

except i think the 67 with a 427 side oiler would do better- yes, you could get them.

but the 65 was most kick ass of the 65-69 shelbys.

Well my grandpa had one and we went on a lot of camping trips and did a lot of 4 wheelin' in it. Those cars are just so much fun, especially when you take the doors and top off. Since he died I always wanted one of those

but remember- the 65 had no backseat, spare tire, sound deadoning, side exhaust, lowered 1" with the konis and overall better suspension...

imo, most badass- no pansy crap there.

I see. I wasn't bashing, just wondering what made you decide between a Bronco or a GT500. lol I am thinking about buying an 87 Mercedes 190e 16v. They are still one of the funnest Mercedes I have ever driven and they are now over 20 years old. So I can definitely see where you are coming from.

Jthorn and Nystang, Does it really matter which is the faster of the two? I would gladly take any of the models and years.
