any suggestions on how i should start on my sd mustang to achieve minimum 300rwhp please help me guys and by the way my car still cuts at 4500rpm when i floor it and if i gradually press it wont cut but i soon as i floor it and get to 4500rpm it'll start cutting new msd wires msd cap/rotor new plugs gapped at .50 new fuel filter timing at 10deg. don't know what to look for could it be cause i noticed i had a 1984 mustang distributor part #e4ze-12131aa and a tfi module part#e9df-12a297-a1a or is it my fuel pump??? other than that the car idles like a charm and till it reaches 4500rpm runs like a charm please help me.
that will cause it to cut out , i deletd mine and put a simulator on it . to get 300 rwhp you have to go with an h/c/i(heads cam and intake )i am running a gt40p intake was going to use the 40p heads but lame machince shop f'd them up so lookin for another set and 100 shot spray should get a bit over 300 hp . oh and yeah going with the xe270hr cam thanks to some good info from dimebag . he is a good sorce for sd info on here .
your telling me that my egr code means that my egr valve can make my car cut out like that how do i delete that.....what are the step beside removing it and unplugging it?

well it depends on your money situation and how much you are willing to spend. afr 165 heads, an xe cam and a trick flow intake will get you 300 wheel pretty easily. But thats gonna cost you over 2000 if you want to go with new parts. It is all in what you are willing to spend.
it will as the egr is not opening as it should at higher rpms thus throughing off the ecm in your car , it is telling the ecm that the car is starving thus the cutting out when you matt it . to by pass remove egr put on a block off plate pick up the simulator so it will not through any codes .block off the ports on the back side of the head's from the tubes ,by pass the smog pump as well . this will give you pure fuel to the car with no recyled fumes , eliminates the egr problem ,and gain a little hp in the process not much but a little . and i agree with ih8chevy as well the afr heads are the best route.

really have to do the other stuff unless you like exaust fumes emitting from under the hood .far as the simulator that is your call all it will really do is keep from throughing codes , if you don't mind the check engine light being on you will be ok there .
I know I'm new but the egr system only operates at light throtle to save gas it puts burnt exaust into cylinders to reduce cylinder volume, saving gas and reducing exaust temperature which lowers nox emmisions if it sticks OPEN with no vaccum ie wot/wide open throtle your lean as hell and yeah its gonna crackle, the other guy has his stuff backwards,un plug vac line and plug it, and see what happens, if thats it but a new egr valve there cheap, next fuel pressure, check advance and base time, egr code says its sticking open when your crusing and when you open her up it stays stuck but it must free up or youd stall when you pushed in clutch, check fuel pressure while driving vith guage taped to windsheid

first... if your speed density, 300 is pushing it, because thats all 19 lb injectors can handle, well a little less
imo shoot for about 270 n/a... and spray it with a WET shot, not dry.
as for heads... depends on budget... gt40s are cheap and work. afr/tfs/edelbrock are all more money, but good heads
as for a cam you have about 4-5 choices, some take more to get to work then others. i have the xe270(comp), its a very nice cam for SD but its right on the edge as far as what works and what doesnt... and even so i had to do some things, valve train related, to make it work like i wanted it to.
now, if this is a track only, or very rarely street driven car... we can get you to the 350 range, but i dont advise doing what it takes to do that on a DD or even something you drive on the street much at all
