you need to get rid of the mach system to install a different head unit or it will sound like that. you will need to bypass the mach amp and possibly get new speakers from what I have heard. I havent delt with these this is just what I have heard.
if you just add a sub and amp then your speakers will still sound like crap. from what I hear about the mach systems is if you add a different head unit and amp and sub without bypassing the mach system amp and speakers that nothing will sound right.
You need the correct harness first of all, anytime I put a deck in my stang or I put one in someone elses with the 460. It's a world of difference, and I mean it increases significantly. Adding a deck is hands down the fastests and cheapest way to increase SPL and SQ in any system. Not to mention an excellent foundation to anything else you do down the road.
ttocs signature has a link to the exact harness you will need to integrate your new headunit to the 460 system.
I want ttocs to type "I like it when my man eats cheese whiz when we are done making love" so you can see the link in his signature.
Thanks ttocs, your helping this guy out, take one for the team, plus it'll be funny.

You either need to stop giving audio advice, or buy a camaro.
um. sorry for trying to help thats why i said I THINK dont shun me for trying to help someone. I know about old school audio not much about integrated stock amps or anyhting so stop bein a dick and then again what makes you know so much? you didnt give any advice? every thread I make in audio you try to put me down just stop it its old and stupid. I'm sorry about the false information but at least I was trying to help
If you were to buy a camaro hopefully you would go to their forum.
Your tryin to help by giving bad advice about stuff you don't know. It is people like you that made it difficult for people like me to help people in here, and the reason why I really don't care enough to tell you why you are wrong, just that you are wrong.... Up until a month ago I was working hard to try and make this place better to help people, and you people kept stickin yer nose in and f'n everything up. I have been installing custom audio and security for almost 15 yrs, that is why I can tell people like you to quit talking when you don't know what you are talkin about. Page 2 of my cardomain page is dedicated to how to integrate into the mach system if you are curious now that does not mean that I know anything about motors so that is why I am not pokin my nose in there.
If you have something you want to contribute to the forum then great, join in and speak up when you know you are right but intil then sit and read.
ttocks can you put it in righting what i need? i have a 2002 vert
im going to the audio store in a few days and ill tell him esxactly what i need
also can you give me some advice on how to exactly setup the harness? do i need to cut wires? or does the new harness i need plug directly into the mach plug, then plug into the back of my deck?

sorry for that but still could have been a little easier about it I really was only tying to help a simple thats not right this is would have been better instead of basically calling me retarded
All you do is connect it like the other harness you had, splice and connect it to the harness that comes out of your deck and plug them into the plugs coming out of your car. His car domain, that link i put up, tells you the part number of the narnesses you need.

Your right, this could have been much much easier. I have spent 3 replies dedicated to one person that does not understand what he is giving advice about and I will end this reply the same way I started.

If you had caught me last week I would have handled you with kid gloves to show you why you are wrong, and taken the time to guide this guy in the direction he needed to be, away from you. That was last week and now I have grown tired of doing this here every other day and I am an now an azzhole, deal with it...
Welcome to the forums. Quit yer cryin and please feel free to speak up when you have something worth hearing.

wally world has been stocking more and more stuff. That adaptor will work until you want to add subs and then you will need to do it the way I did, and instead of the $50 hrns you will need the $30 so you will be spending $80 total then. I think sonicelectronics will ship them if you can't find a local wally world or BBY CC.
