Very funny, I prefer well done actually ! I just can't make up my mind between getting the Saleen base kit (5PSI), which I can easily upgrade later if I want after tranny work, or get the Whipple HO kit now and worry about the tranny all the time, lol ( I race at least twice a month) The Saleen comes with the intercooler already, not so much worried about using it for high boost just yet, but more concerned because this is my daily driver in AZ and heat will be an issue, so the Saleen I can get now and in the future only have swap pulleys, injectors, etc...to add more boost. It seems like upgrading the Whipple kit is alot more involved so I might as well just get the HO kit to start with but worried it will be too much for AUTO drivetrain, I still have 16000 miles of warranty of on this car !! lol I can get the Saleen for $5700 installed locally I can get the Whipple HO kit installed for $6500 installed locally Opinions ?

Both are great kits, the whipple has more potential after 14psi because that is about the limit for the Saleen. If you decide on the Saleen go with either Brenspeed stage 2 or 3 or the Saleen SC with the 475hp upgrade. As for heat trust me its going to get hot, the SC put off a lot of heat, but there are things you can do to fix that, JDM has the new intercooler for the Saleen SC's and I am pretty sure someone make a larger one for the whipple, you can also get an ice box for a resievor (sorry about the spelling) or a functional hood (vent/ram air maybe), as for the tranny I am running a stick so can't offer any advise there. Didn't mean to steal the thread. Someone please chim in about cooling a whipple.
