I'm wanting to put some wheels on my '04 GT. I love the FOOSE DF 5. I've seen it on EBay in a 20x8.5 that said it's made for the '94-'04 Mustangs. I've also seen it in a 19x8.5. Both places I contacted said the wheels would fit. However, they keep telling me about the offset. Honestly, I don't know what the heck they're talking about. What effect does the offset have on the wheels? I'm about 99 percent sure I want to go with the 19" so the ride quality isn't as rough as it would be with the 20". Does anyone have any pictures with these certain wheels on a Stang? Any help would be appreciated!

Hey, Cline, welcome to MF's
***HERE*** is a link to how wheels are measured and should help you understand better. I think 20" wheels are too lage for Stangs (especially '99-'04 models, '05+ cars a little more clearance) I think that 18"s are perfect for your car, and running 18"x9"s with 275/35's front and 18"x10.5"s with 295/30's currently with nearly 2" drop and no rubbing at all on my Saleen. The 19"s you like will generally help ride quality b/c you won't need as low a profile tire to clear wells. 18"s will give you more options, and will be able to run a 40-50 series tire that will help even more.
Go talk to your local tire person, and get some ideas
The 20's I looked at here in GA, the guy had a specific offset for them. The 19's were off a websit www.wheelemporium.com and all is says about the offset is MED. The tire size would be a 215/35/19. What you think? Thanks for the help.

WOW! 215/35s would be like rubber bands on those things and will probably ride stiffer than you would like, based on your post. Sure the 215 is correct? How wide is the wheel itself. 215's are going to fit well on 7"s or maybe even 6" wide wheels. Please give me model number

Yeah, that's what that website has listed to go with that wheel. I actually found a staggered Foose DF 5. 19x8.5 in the front and a 19x10 in the back with 245/35/19 and 275/30/19. I thought that 215 sounded funny.

Phew!
I figured that was a type-O. I think that will be a nice choice. The 275's are gonna be a bit thin on 10" wheels, but will give you plenty of clearance. Tires will be a little stiff, translating to a rougher ride than stock, but that you will "feel" the road better . I think you have made a good choice and leaves room for lowering (if you haven't already )
