Hey Mickey! I'm pretty interested in one for my V6 manual Definitely need that, for safety reasons especially. Let me see what my finances allow me after moving and my LA trip this weekend and I'll check back and let you know!

ORIGINAL: MustangGT0405 Anyone one know the real limit as far as HP? 500+ tested doesnt tell mw much. I have a crazy idea for the future that involves a built shortblock with alot of boost and nitrous, and should easily eclipse that number. Would it be good at 750rwhp and slicks? I will probably never get there but I might. From what I have read it is not the HP rating that is the important information but rather the torque rating. Torque is what kills driveshafts and U-Joints, but everyone seems to rate their DS in HP ratings. CrazyAl has some good posts here. http://www.mustangforums.com/m_2884435/tm.htm

Okay, so I looked at the link to CrazyAl's explanation and everything and he says that a shop modifies the Spydershaft after you buy it? I thought it came ready to drop into a mustang???

So any idea on power rating yet, 06Sal? Figure 800 ftlbs of torque for a rating. I wont be at that level for a while but I dont want to have to replace it when I get there. I might just hold off and get one of the Carbon Fiber ones that is good for 1000hp. I just hate that clunk, seemed to get 100 times worse after the blower. I think it is the instant torque down low.

Just got off the phone with Ron. Here are some questions we cleared up... What kind of power can these things hold? Ron told me that Sutton has a car running 700rwhp on the Spydershaft for over a year now with absolutely no problems. He told me the car gets run hard as well. Any problems with the aftermarket shifter? The only aftermarket shifter that the Spydershaft is not compatible is the Saleen short-throw How much of a difference is there from the 1330-Series U-joints and the 1350-series? The 1350 series are said to hold twice the ft-lbs of torque. The 1330's are said to withstand 120-140 ft/lbs, but can most likely handle more. The 1350-series are an additional $120. Let me know if you have any other questions guys n' gals. Thanks!

Just let me know when you are ready to order. For the special pricing, all orders must be done via phone order. I have to order a minimum of three to give you guys the special pricing....so I will start a list. 1) MustangBatman1? You are in no way tied down being on this list. It is just to get numbers. Let me know if you are not on this list and would like to be or if you are on the list and would like to be removed. Thanks
