Elaboration is key here [:D]

Larmo -> RE: ***Group Buy: Spydershaft Aluminum D/S*** (4/8/2008 8:57:10 PM)

meaning now I have to spend more money!

06Saleen3V -> RE: ***Group Buy: Spydershaft Aluminum D/S*** (4/8/2008 9:10:19 PM)

Money well spent might I add [;)]. I guarantee you will not find a cheaper price.

surf808 -> RE: ***Group Buy: Spydershaft Aluminum D/S*** (4/8/2008 9:24:32 PM)

If I am not lowered do I still need to worry about the pinion angle?

06Saleen3V -> RE: ***Group Buy: Spydershaft Aluminum D/S*** (4/8/2008 9:37:36 PM)

Not at all

JaysFreaky -> RE: ***Group Buy: Spydershaft Aluminum D/S*** (4/9/2008 2:07:31 AM)

Dammit. This is tempting. I almost want to say screw paying my $550 in taxes, and put it towards this. [:D]

Good thing the Spydershaft is only $525 shipped [:D]

danbogart -> RE: ***Group Buy: Spydershaft Aluminum D/S*** (4/9/2008 2:18:32 AM)

So these are an issue with a lowered car?

SuperSonic05 -> RE: ***Group Buy: Spydershaft Aluminum D/S*** (4/9/2008 6:31:59 AM)

I wish I didn't have to save for my wedding.  $525 = 9 dinners at the reception.  I need many more then 9 dinners like 120 = $6,600[:@].  Maybe I should just run off to Vegas, and get married there[:)].

MustangGT0405 -> RE: ***Group Buy: Spydershaft Aluminum D/S*** (4/9/2008 7:11:00 AM)

Anyone one know the real limit as far as HP?

500+ tested doesnt tell mw much.

I have a crazy idea for the future that involves a built shortblock with alot of boost and nitrous, and should easily eclipse that number.

Would it be good at 750rwhp and slicks?

I will probably never get there but I might.

Not at all. If you are lowered more than 1.5", you will need an adj UCA to adjust the pinion angle. Most drops are not more than a 1.5" drop. I have a 2" drop on my car but I have my UCA on the way [:D]

At that means is that they haven't tested it on a car with over 500rwhp YET. I have never heard of a Spydershaft breaking to this day. I am going to call Ron to ask a few questions shortly and will get back to you. Thanks

These come with the new pinion flange correct?  How much do you think it would cost to install the driveshaft?  I'm a little afraid of changing the new pinion flange.

NyFordTech -> RE: ***Group Buy: Spydershaft Aluminum D/S*** (4/9/2008 3:35:18 PM)

I got my spyder shaft 2 months ago from suton high performance for $480. the driveshaft is great got rid of that clunk the 2 peice had for us lowered cars and its shaved a few tenths of my 1/4 mile times.
im glad i got mine 2 months ago casue its marked up to  now $550

That is correct, it does come with a new flange. I would say the average shop would charge you 3 hours of labor, so 3x whatever their hourly labor rate is. It is a simple job if you want to save your money. It does take 2-4 hours but without difficulty

jlaurens06gt -> RE: ***Group Buy: Spydershaft Aluminum D/S*** (4/10/2008 5:28:04 AM)

jdmcbride -> RE: ***Group Buy: Spydershaft Aluminum D/S*** (4/10/2008 5:48:15 AM)

Now you tell me!  I had an aluminum driveshaft installed last week...  double doh!

BTW - great mod.  The car feels much lighter now.  [:)]
