Default Where to wire these LEDs?

Hokay, I'm putting a mustang cutout on my rear seat delete and want to accent it with some red LEDs. I originally thought about wiring the + and - wires of my LEDs into the + and - outputs of my amplifier for the sub, but am worried it'll blow the lights. I also think the lights being on all the time will get annoying, so I want to put them on a switch.

I won an auction for an '03 double DIN dash bezel with the 3 switches on the bottom. Is there any way I can wire my LEDs into one of those switches? If so, where do those wires go and what kind of power supply do I need to tap into? I'm pretty savvy on car audio in general but this is a little fuzzy for me. Any input would be great, and thanks!

Default RE: Where to wire these LEDs?

From your fuse box, run a wire to the switch. Make sure you go on the fused side and make sure you pick one that will handle the current load of the LED's. LED's draw very little current so pick a5 amp or higher fuse in the cockpit's fuse box. Don't pick one that controls the ECU or something important. I would use the cigarette lighter fuse. Once you have chosen the fuse, go to Auto Zone and you can find these little taps that are copper and the fuse will fit into it then back into the fuse block. Hook this wire to the switch, the hot connection on the switch should be copper. Then run a ground and hook that to the switch. Then run another wire to the LED power supply. Your all set...
