Default Spun A Bearing

I'm going to be trading my 351W block for a 5.0 roller motor. Whoever built the motor sucked, and it spun a bearing after 400 miles I believe. What damages come from this? I will machine and rebuild the motor the way I want anyways, but will the motor be junk or will I be alright?

depends on how much crap theoil pump sucked up...hopefully the filter caught most of it..........cut it open and look, but the crank will need machining and need to see why it spun a bearing,,,,,?? might want to have the line bore checked?? spin a rod or a main bearing?? if a rod bearing....good idea to have the rods reconditioned/ resized...and the block will need a good tanking/ cleaning

You checked the cam out yet? Or do you plan on buying another one? If you are gonna build it fully rollerized again, then I would just double check the block and tear it down and start over again right from the beginning. I don't trust anyones work if their roller motor is blown after 400 miles of run time.

it spun due to the crank not being machined, a .010 .010 should do you over well, cost $100

Hot Tank, Clean Deck(Mill),blast, Paint,Cam Bearings and Freeze Out Plugs Etc $225.

I no longer take any shortcuts, they usually come back to hunt you.

Alright, I got what I needed to know. I don't plan on using anything from the motor. I'm going with a forged rebuild. From what it sounds like, yall are all saying that the block will be good as long as a get it machined. Thanks for the help guys.
