Yesterday I followed a Roush into Iowa over the Bridge, at the bottom of the bridge is a dual turn lane intersection. This is the same guy who owns the Cervini C500 I posted about recently and I know of him but not personally. He moved over and downshifted headed into the turn lane and I followed suit shifting into 2nd gear and getting ready... as he went through the turn he rolled into it and moved over to the outside lane, I came through just behind him and went WOT as well... Starting off about a half a length back he held his lead for a bit and I VERY SLOWLY pulled even by the top of 2nd gear when we shut down. Didn't do as well as I expected but I soon found out why...

We pulled up to the next light and started chatting... turns out he started off in 1st gear coming out of the corner (DOH!) Since we were going about 20mph at the time I really can't explain why I stayed in 2nd but oh well... He said next time he has the C500 out I can get some video and he would give me a good show (WOOT!)... We took off at the next light nice and easy just crusing along... after I told him what gear I started in he said a rematch wasn't necessary. haha... :)
