I have started putting my 84 Gt back together. Was wondering what suspension packages you guys are using?Or suggest. It will be driven at most 3000 -4000 miles a year and have some track time.I would like best of both worlds nice ride on highway(doesn't have to be great)and be nice for the 1/4 mile runs at the track a few times a year.Don't need it for road racing.
Looking to replace
Lower A frame
new ball joint
struts
shocks
Any suggestions would be great!!(also will be looking into upgrading rotors, calipers breaking system and comverting to five lug)

Since you have an 84, it limits which shocks & struts you can use. I'd suggest upgrading your spindles to 87+ spindles.

The only shocks we have for your car are the KYB GR-2's. Here is the links http://www.stangsuspension.com/store/comersus_viewitem.asp?idproduct=1347 and http://www.stangsuspension.com/store/comersus_viewitem.asp?idproduct=1348

I'd suggest a good set of lower control arms. These will help with street handling, as well as launches and grip at the drag strip. The Maximum Motorsports Standard Lower Control Arms are a popular choice. http://www.stangsuspension.com/store/comersus_viewitem.asp?idproduct=207

For springs, I'd definitely stick with a progressive rate, and a soft spring rating. You definitely do not want anything which is too stiff, and can affect weight transfer. The Ford B springs are a popular choice for 79-93 Mustangs. http://www.stangsuspension.com/store/comersus_viewitem.asp?idproduct=260

Sincerely,

Well if you upgrade the spindles, it opens you up to many more options.

Tokico's are a better choice ...  http://www.stangsuspension.com/store/comersus_viewitem.asp?idproduct=937

They provide superior dampening.
