Default Will this shifter fit?

Hi,

This is the kind of shifter I would like to use with my T5, would it fit?

Thanks!

As long as it mates properly to the shifter, the handle will work. It's going to depend on which shifter you use though.

What do you mean exactly by that? I have just had a T5 conversion and have a really ugly stick for now.

I am going to buy a shifter stick and a knob that match but how can I know if it matches the shifter itselft?

Were using a long shifter like that on a PRO 50 SHort throw on the TKO600, it works fine, jsut make sure you get the right mounting style

This is the one that I used. Needs to be 7/8" cc on attachment holes. Ed Pitts

From personal experience and not just guessing for the sake of a worthless reply, yes, that shifter will work fine with your T5. It will bolt up correctly and the 10" length and 5.5" layback will position the shifter in a much more comfortable position than any original 5.0 type shifter.

The only word of caution I have is the thread size for the shifter handle.

It's....

ShifterStickBallThreadSize:
3/8-16 in.

....smaller than most aftermarket shifter handles. Most aftermarket shifter handles are threaded for 1/2"-20 thread size. You may have to use a threaded adapter to mate the handle to the stick.

Good Luck!

Glazier's sells a 4sp-style shift lever that will bolt onto the T5 shifter, along with a matching white or black 5sp shift ball.
