yeah it takes up alot of room. but tis room i didnt want to use anyways. i hate hauling more than one person around. but my whole trunk is now free except for my amp rack. but it was up on a little shelf so it doesnt matter. seats still recline the whole way so its a-okay with me.

What did you do about the pass weight sensor, and are you getting an airbag light?

Thanks and sorry for the hijack

its bolted down to the rear deck. and eventually im gonna get some other speakers and run both of my amps through them. right now its just my 1000.1. i was thinking about just getting some 10" solo-x's and strapping my amps. but im not sure. otherwise ill probably get some 12's so i wont have to build a whole new box and i can just cut the hole round. what do ya'll think about the solo-x?

I think the solo x should remain solely for people who shop at best buy.

I dont know it Looks nice (carpet and all) but I think it should have followed the rear seat better. It looks too "boxy"

the weight sensor still isnt on there yet. its still on the stock seat. im gonna go to a upholstery shop sooon and see if they can fix it for me. idk if it will still work because the density of the material might be greater and have less give than stock, so the sensor might not even cooperate... and as far as "getting a light" there is an airbag light coming on... do you know what that means?

and @ disturbed, id only be running maybe 1500 watts thru it, and about 1900 if i get a h/o alt. so will the 2500 a piece solo-x's not actually hold up against that little wattage?

i know they dont flow great... but if i was really gonna make them go well i would have had them custom fiberglassed... but i cant handle the material and MDF is a bitch to work with so i just went with a box that fit back in there but it doesnt really cover the arm rest space... it is a little trapezoidal in shape (probably cant notice from the pics, but its 42" up top and 45" at the bottom to fit the area left by the seats well. it just doesnt fill up the extra space that is given with the arm rests and such... pretty good for a 17 year old kid and his old man... plus this is only the 4th box ive built with him...

IIRC there are two lights, one on the center console showing that the passenger airbag is off and one on the instrument cluster showing that there is something wrong with the system itself. I think that if that one is on, then the whole system is disabled.

well... i just suggested the solo-x cause..

1) it handles much more power than i will ever need

2) it would allow me to use both of my amps, and my current box

3) it matches my colour scheme perfect.

actually scratch the X... that box i built will barely be able to house those subs... it requires 2.25 min on sealed... i might have 2.25 (maybe a little more) right now... im not gonna build a whole new box for those subs to have better space... so maybe L7's are in the future...

what allows subs to handle more power? the magnet? the spider? the leads to the VC's? all of them working in harmony? whats the skinny on how same size subs handle different amounts of power? (i realize build quality is one large aspect, but what about the technical side?)

Wow.

Anyone who would pay $1,000.00 for that is a complete idiot.

Whatever website you found the solo x for that much blows, almost as much as your opinion, champ.

Edit: I considered it for the Best Buy kids because they drool over Kicker and Alpine.

I guess I should have compensated my post for the people with an iq below 70, such as yourself if you didn't catch that, and stated my reasoning.
