Default AM Bullits or FR500 Wheels & Aftermarket Brakes

Hi,

I'm seriously considering a Whipple HO kit, and most people agree it would be a good idea to get new Wheels as the 2005 stock 235's won't cut it.

I was looking at either this:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/verde-...heel-18x9.html
Or:
http://www.americanmuscle.com/bl20frwh1.html

For the front & 18x10(or 18x9) in the back I haven't decided yet.I have read some aftermarket Bullitt Wheels will not fit on the car with upgraded Brake Calipers which I might also upgrade at some point.

What is the viewpoint on this... ?

It really depends on the brake kit you go with. Most of the standard sized aftermarket brake kits will fit fine, but many aftermaket "Big Brake" kits use obnoxiously large front calipers that hit the inside of some wheels. Most of them have templates available that you can print and cutout and test on a wheel before buying. That is the best route to go to ensure that the wheels will fit.

Yep that makes sense as I've seen the diagrams, but of course I don't have the wheelsto check them against! The after market brake kit I'm looking at is the Ford Racing M-2300-S kit which is the Front Brembo calipers & 14" rotors from the GT500. Have you had any customers with this brake kit buy either of the wheels I posted above?

Ooo, that kit has huge calipers, I believe it will not fit any of our Bullitt or FR500 wheels. It will fit our 18x9 GT4 wheels and also 18x9.5 Shelby GT500 wheels designed for 2005+ Mustangs.

Other then that, you would need to test out any other wheel with the template.
