ASC87#117 -> my tires rub. All four of em..!!!! (4/2/2008 1:05:56 PM)

hey. i have been driving like grandma for quite some time. i can't drive my car without that scraping noise tires make when they rub the fenderwells. i have had the fenders rolled a little as possible 'cuz they really can't take that kind of work. anyway, i have the following senario for you all to analyze: 1987 asc mclaren with motorsport spring kit. this lowers the car .5-.75 inches. to make matters worse, i also have the cobra R brake kit on the car. i am currently running the cobra R rims from a 94 mustang cobra set up. they bolt right on, of course. but they stick out just a liiiiiitle too far. Tires? don't even get me started. i need more tires, for i am tearing up the ones i have now when i tap the gas petal. front: p245/45/17 Rear:p275/40/17 the rear rims are slightly larger than the fronts. So, does anyone know the magic offset that fits this rare application? As it is, i need bigger rears and a tighter offset on the front and the back. otherwise this bad boy drives perfect. i can let go of the steering wheel at a 100 and she drives straight( i really don't recommend that..) i am resigned to have to get new rims anyway. so i will be selling these, plus a set of chrome bullets that are way too small(also 17"s) those need tires anyway...
