It's special because its black, just kidding. Brent's always been surprised with my car, it seems that some cars from the factory can differ as much as 20 rwhp, and yes he did tune for the cams. I will eventually build the bottom end, but for right now I'm pretty happy with the results.

What was funny is when it snapped I had no idea the car couldn't shift into gear so the car just revved while I thought What the hell. I had some old beater pull up next to me and rev his engine. What sucked was he blew me away!

ORIGINAL: phatphil Did you blow your motor or just the tranny? As of right now just the input shaft in the trans but I will know more Friday when the tranmission gets to Tony so he can remove everything and take a look. On the road I heard a clean snap. I'm expecting the motor to go sometime. I hope it goes while my buddy tunes the car so he gets to put money into the motor. editl http://www.larrystransmission.com/ 2500 for the rebuild with hardened input shaft, 50 for the flex plate, 300 for transmission tune and 950 for the pi torque converter

If I'm not mistaken I believe that Saleen and JDM will be coming out with HE kits too. Plus Brenspeed already has an HE kit for our Saleens (as someone already pested earlier): http://www.brenspeed.com/mustang_2005/saleen.html

"by photogenic you mean really sun burnt right!! Lol I look like a lobster! Ive got an HE here for testing! Saleen released their pricing which is $1399 but it comes with: Heat Exchanger Dual cooling fans Variable speed IC pump Mounting hardware and bracketry There is still alot of info i need to gather on these and our pricing will be lower than Saleens. But this is a really nice kit with some very nice parts! JimIII"

^ Is that price for JDM's kit or for Saleen's kit? I think I read that was the approx. price that Saleen's kit might be offered at but that JDM's would be cheaper? edit: nvm, late as usual

So some of you are expecting your motor to blow? That can't be good. Is it gonna happen sooner or later w/o forged internals even if you stay at 6.5 lbs. or less?
