im looking for roughly 280hp (hopefully)

gt40 heads and intake (possibly ported)
crane 444221 cam.. 216/220 duration @ .050 and .533/.544 lift

would that setup work or what would i have to do..i dont know much about it
would i need diff. rocker arms or anything like that?

my car is a stock 88 lx..speed density

lsa on the cam?

so far looks like itll work, but you wont see 280, prolly more like 250-270 just going off of what i know

diff valve springs/locks/retainers atleast, RRs would be a good idea along w. pushrods

get the heads cut for dual valve springs and screw in studs/guideplates if you wanna run RRs

lsa is 112 and according to that one chart this cam should work i was just curious what i all needed for it

112 lsa will not work with sd .114 lsa os what you are looking for .

he may get away with it, based on the lower lift at 50 numbers, i am not sure though, havent looked into that one... but hell id try it

looking at the low duration and 112lsa if it were me and i wanted it id try it, but i cant guarentee itll run good like i can a few other SD cams

get that cam, worse comes to worse if it doesnt idle good you pm me, i tell you some ways to fix it that most ppl do not know about.

im not really "set" on that cam
i wouldn't be heartbroken if i had to go with a different one
but if i go with that one.. ill let you guys know how it works out

well i say try it, if you have issues let me know, ill give you some sound advice on ways to make her idle smooth... there are a few options, most ppl know about, some not alota guys know...
