auction that claims to be the mustang from tokyo drift (one of two of the mustangs used)  not sure if its legit or not but thought it was interesting.  im fairly sure the one in the movie has a "fluidyne" intercooler or radiator, but that was the one with the skyline engine.

I REALLY dislike old Mustangs, but I'd rock the hell out of that car. Just the fact that it's rocking Volks is awesome. And I'll prolly get flamed for this, but oh well- I'd rather have the RB26 car even more. It's total sacrilege I know, but I don't care...

If I recall correctly, the skyline one wasn't able to fit both turbos in there.  And the one with the 440 was the one that was actually doing all the trick driving, as the skyline motor one was all show no go.

I don't remember what magazine I read that in, but I read it as the movie was about to come out.

^ No, the RB26 did fit in the car. It just took so much fab work and was so tight on space that they didn't wanna use the car for action sequences. So they only built one. They used the 440 powered cars for all the shooting, and the RB car just ofr the swap part, and as a press car/....

He doesnt want you to broadcast what movie it was in. Maybe becasue they are imbarrased casue the movie sucked and dont want their good named ruined by a bad movie. LOL

I'd would soooo love that car.. The Old fast backs and the 90's Fox Hatch backs are my fav mustangs..

Damn. I missed that? I so liked that car, even if it''s not the most impressive one in the film. Did you guys find out if it was authentic?
