Default 393w or 408w?

Idecied to go stroked 351w but not sure wich , 393w 0r 408w
I looked all over but didnt find anybig differents but 15cui
and the 393 can be built with no notching on the block, different crank ,351w rods, and 302 pistons, but not sure how strong the rotating assembly would be when using those parts.

Is the 393 better on the street than the 408????

It will be street strip and a little spray (100 shot)

i have seen 408w's with no notching... i own one, also i would go 408w many of the 393 kits have a heavier piston and rod.

The only real reason to not go 408 was excessive cylinder wear due to poor rod ratios but that has all but been eliminated as research and design have fixed those problems. If your spending the money why not nab those 15 extra cubes. No replacement for displacement. Also 408 only takes one notch on the block down where the oil pump mounts. Its cake with a die grinder.

408W is the way to go. It may be a little biased but For the extra 200 why not get the 408w.
