well i found the motor
after a hard search in a local junkyard for about an hour i spotted an old beat up red thunderbird. ran up to it and popped the hood and 2.3t!!
pretty excited so i went to the office and asked how much for it and he said $450 for just the motor.
im gonna either tell him i found another one for like 300 bucks and see if hell compete with it
o il just offer him like 350 bucks but its an auto so which is good i guess so i dont have to swap the hole tranny with it

I would offer somewhere around 350 but must include computer, vam and harness, vam hose, downpipe, get the map/bap sensor. I have read a difference between it and na one,s. Also read no differance. I say side on parts that match. Last motor I bought was 250. Ps what year car. 86 and older have a Garrett turbo builds more boost but has small vam. 87+ had IHI turbo quick build not as much. But better computer and big vam.

but the i kno the guy and he thinks cause im a kid hes gonna try and make me pay 450 for a 2.3t motor around here
other people have offered lower than that but i dont feel like traveling. but this motor seems to be perfect for my swap. its an auto. everything is there, motor seems to be in descent shape. so i just gotta make him lower the price down and ill go buy it with my next paycheck which shuld be around 300 bucks
im gettin the motor hopefully this weekend
my friend who owns the shop i work at brings cars there all the time and can get the motor for cheap
so im gonna have him pick it up
quick question
since im running an a4ld andthe turbo coupe that has the motor has a c3 there are probably gonna be some problems
so correct me if im wrong but i prolly will have to get another computer like an LB2 or LB3 and then i will have to get a big vam and stuff right?
also since i have the 3 plug a4ld will i have problems with the computer
