Hello forum, fairly new member here. (38yearold, Asheville NC, 18.5 years (so far) in US AIR FORCE) Finally got around to getting a Mustang. Something the Wifey and I can cruise around the Mountain roads here in western North Carolina. It is 99 Vert GT and I bought it just as it is pictured with 65,000 miles. Unique thing I have noticed about my ride 1) Electric Green is a rare color around here....but I really like it. 2) It has some unique paint matched fender flares (I guess that is what they are called) 3) It has chrome exhaust which comes out lower than what I have noticed with other Mustangs (Once again I think they look cool). 4) It has some nice looking aftermarket taillights (which I have seen on other Mustangs).
Look forward to chatting with you folks on these message boards and tinkering with my new toy.

Nice 'vert. There's one exactly like that at the local dealer I will probably go look at on Tuesday. How do you like your car? Is it a V6 or an 8 cylinder?

Bri, just like andrew said..it is V8(GT). I really enjoy it. I really, really, look forward to going with the Kenne Bell 2.1 (9psi) kit to give it some more HPs. But the last time I was proud of a car was back in 92' when I had a 89' vert vette. So here we are almost 20 years later and I finally got around to getting me something I like to tinker with. My brother had a 03 Cobra with exhaust, smaller pulley, tune, and nitrous. So needless to say I already have a mechanic family member ready to hook me up with technical help of adding some goodies to mine.
PS: JUANV, GaDRIFTER, JKRUM, 06elnr - Thanks for the comments. Nice to meet everyone,
