I have been reading about HP Tuners since my bro(LS1 owner) told me about them. Being able to tune is very important to us since we are in Alaska and there are no mustang or LS1 tuners in our area(that we know of). I was wondering if there are any plans to put out a system to tune the 2v mustangs. I saw that it is possible to tune the 3vs right now but, I did not see anything for the 2v or even 4v stangs. Thank-you for any info.

I think you'll get more of a response in the 4.6 forums. Looks like not many peeps pay attention to this thread. There are tuners for you available from DiabloSport, SCT, among some others. Just so you know, you won't so a big performance gain with just a tuner. It is mainly to adjust your vehicle's settings after modifications...gears, intakes and exhausts. The tuners do come with a preset all-encompassing performance tune that supposedly adds some power and torque, but not $400 worth. A couple descent sites you can go to that sell them but will probably answer questions for you is americanmuscle.com, stangmods.com, and brenspeed.com. These sites also sell higher performance tunes that are downloadable which are a little better than the tune that comes with the tuner.
Hope this helps, like I said, the 4.6 forum guys are usually really helpful.

Thanks for the response. I already have a four bank SCT chip that was burned by SGS Automotive. My problem is that I moved to AK so no more dynotuning for me. I did get a lead on a dyno in Anchorage but, they are a Nissan shop so no tuning there. I was hoping that since I saw HP Tuners as a sponsor, they would check their section. It would be great if my bro and I could tune using the same software instead of me geting Anderson Ford PMS and him geting HP Tuners. I am pretty much set on doing my own tuning but, am looking to make an informed decision before I go w/ one or the other. Thank-you though for your info.

HP Tuners currently supports the S197's and I beleive the 04 and up F150's. Last time I looked, they didn't offer any support and didn't plan to on any of the earlier 4.6's. I do think they are working on the 4.0's as well. Their software is top notch and is what I use to tune my stang. It offers the same level of tuneability that the SCT stuff does.
