Kara 03-27-2008, 10:14 PM I say you cant go wrong with red! mygt500 03-27-2008, 10:15 PM I vote black with a decal of some sort! Bluestar 03-27-2008, 10:15 PM RE: Voting Black.....I'm talking about Calipers not Polititions surfbum7190 03-27-2008, 10:18 PM yea red is nice... what do you guys think of blue paint on a black car?? PROMETHEUS PRIME 03-27-2008, 10:23 PM I've got mine black now. Looking for some pictures. Heres some in red. http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k9/DEPPDRLA69/HPIM1745-1.jpg http://i84.photobucket.com/albums/k9/DEPPDRLA69/HPIM1090.jpg Bluestar 03-27-2008, 10:23 PM I Painted mine Ford Blue at first, but didn't like the look, changed to Black and love it......My car is Black also. 2k05gt 03-27-2008, 10:23 PM It all depends on the color of the car... Here is mine, I choose Red http://i223.photobucket.com/albums/dd22/2k05gt/MUSTANG/PDRM2483.jpg pascal 03-27-2008, 10:25 PM Or the color of the rim;). PROMETHEUS PRIME 03-27-2008, 10:32 PM I do like mine black better then the red. FyouGitive 03-27-2008, 11:56 PM I did my calipers "Tungsten Gray", on a black car with black wheels. The epoxy finish came out looking metallic black with a purple tinge. Not what I expected, but I like its subtlety. Debating whether a MUSTANG decal in orange would be an enhancement or a liability. TPony 03-28-2008, 12:05 AM Here's my pic of my black ones with the pony...pics was taken about 2 yrs ago when I still had the stock rims and fascia...but you get the point.. BTW, it looks like the brake pad is also painted, but its not...must be a shade thing. http://i92.photobucket.com/albums/l29/cruza2150/PaintedCalFront.jpg marcuskeeler 03-28-2008, 12:07 AM I found the rough casting of the calipers wasn't good for decal adhesion, the decals seemed to 'fly' on the edges. Perhaps an abrasive polishing wheel on a drill would buff a flat area suitable for decals? Red seems to be the caliper colour of choice for the masses, it'san unwritten ruleI reckon. (Yes, my fronts are Red, rear is Black ;)). SS_06GT 03-28-2008, 12:07 AM I was thinking of doing mine in black. Car is Redfire with chrome rims. What do you think? Stoenr 03-28-2008, 12:08 AM Its brakes btw, not breaks! cmon now. Black! Red makes your eyes go to the brakes, and miss the beauty of the car. TPony 03-28-2008, 12:09 AM I've had no issues with my pony decal...that thing is not going anywhere. miloman 03-28-2008, 12:33 AM I bought a Windveil Blue G2 kit from Hubcapsplus a while back. antipeterleague 03-28-2008, 02:37 AM i'm painting mine yellow one the first sunday with nice weather Rdot9 03-28-2008, 09:00 AM ORIGINAL: Stoenr Its brakes btw, not breaks! cmon now. Black! Red makes your eyes go to the brakes, and miss the beauty of the car. not if you have a red car:D I always like the look of black calipers, on a black car, with some sort of decal on it so it shows a little more kdrshocker 03-28-2008, 09:06 AM vista blue from G2: http://i228.photobucket.com/albums/ee284/kdrshocker/wheelsrotorscalipers.jpg luvrbcs 03-28-2008, 10:26 AM Red, on an Alloy it looks hot. The Pony also helps! local://upfiles/2752/DDB2E35B40D346AF99CD9BDE83B00831.jpg NJBLK07GT 03-28-2008, 03:53 PM I say red as well on a black car. If you are going to paint the calibers then please paint the rotors as well. Do all that work making the calipers look great and then to see that rusty or crappy silver painted rotor just brings it all down. Here's mine: local://upfiles/67276/085BADBAF0E040ED8418D4CF4E1E0EEF.jpg HazardSports 03-28-2008, 04:17 PM I VOTE RED ! Wally39 03-28-2008, 04:49 PM What color should I go with? Mine is Tungsten. Ford_Dude 03-28-2008, 05:41 PM Mine's Tungsten too go with black or grey |
