most people here really like the FRPP axel backs... i personally would probably roll with the JBAs wit ur headers and setup... but it depends really on ur sound preference... theres a lot of clips on here that u can listen to

I put a Pypes race pro axelback on 4 months ago. They advertised and had a picture of a "shiny muffler" looked polished with a "highly polished" tip. I received a muffler with blackened weld joints.....non-shined.......with a highly polished 4" tip. Allegedly it is some type of 403 stainless steel? ....it is rusting like a M.F'er......
I will be replacing it with FRPP duals after my x-charger install.

Do Frpp stingers! sound better than the GTA's. Bet it would sound mean with the shorties. I had stingers and they were probably the better sounding muffler Ive had so far. I saw pypes exhaust in person...and they are low quality. I had the FRPP gta's and to m it was okay...no drone and not much louder than the GT take offs.
thanks for all your input. im leaning towrds the frpp but i still havent ruled out the other two whats the difference between the gtas and the stingers???

Well the stingers are definetly alot deeper and agressive sounding and imo look alot better than the GTA's. The stingers have 3.5 inch tips. Oh yea the tips are stamped with the "ford racing logo" pretty sweet looking. They are more costly but are definetly worth it. Here is a pic of the stingers......i definetly would have kept them if i didnt find my corsas for so cheap!

Here is a pic of the GTA's....which pretty much just look like GT take offs but with 4" tips.

Go with the stingers if you have the money......if not then I guess the gta's would be fine.......but dont say i didnt tell you when you are not impressed with the sound. lol
ok now that ive seen the stingers i also need the intermediate pipes to go with my exhaust and i saw magnaflow makes a kit with the magnapacks and the intermediate pipes for the price of the stingers anyone have a x pipe set up with the magnapacks????

I bought a GT hipe and over the axle mid pipes for pretty cheap. I cut our Y pipe and the GT hipe hipe then welded the two together. Then the 2 midpips went on and that was that...pretty easy. If you want a direct bolton......I wouldnt know...maybe someone would like to chime in here.
im thinkin the stingers now i def dont want the gta's i just need to find some intermediate pipes to connect my x pipe to cuz my shop i had tack weld everything really fd my mid muffler system up thats why i need the intermediate pipes can anyone tell me where i can get em from????
Just installed the FRPP dual exhaust kit(M-5230-V6)and it sounds great. Less drone that the single Magnaflow axle-back I took off. Has a very nice sound.

i still cant decide the price of the stingers it ridiculous but i guess you get what you pay for and i still cant find intermediate pipes so im SOL there
Ford: Probably expensive, but they can see you the stock pipes that are on the GT
eBay: cheaper way of getting the stock GT pipes
These forums: Maybe someone who has replaced their GT exhaust still has the stock pipes to sell
V6MustangStuff (http://v6mustangstuff.com/05V6Exhaust.htm) or some other aftermarket place. They don't sell the stock pipes, but they sell after market set-ups (JBA, Pypes, etc) which are usually stainless steel and better quality/better flowing than the stock pipes.
For my setup, I went with a JBA H Pipe kit (which includes the cross-over pipe, the two over-axle pipes, and all the clamps and whatever) and Borla Stingers.
It ends up being kind of expensive, but it's a good sounding/quality setup.
You can also shop around at your local exhaust shops and see if someone can fabricate the mid-pipes for you, which might save you a few bucks if they can do that.
