Default Price Check: 66 Mustang

I have a 66 hardtop 289 coupe in perfect running condition, everything is all original and it has just under 40 thousand original miles. Can anybody give me a price estimate? Thanks!

There's no blue book on these cars. Probably whatever your brother asks, but a sensible price would be anywhere from 5 grand to 10 grand. I paid 5 grand for mine several years ago that was in the same condition as your brothers.

Don't forget to ask for the "Brother Discount". That should save you between 10-40%. Unless of course, he hates your guts. [sm=signs003.gif]

Ask your brother what he is willing to live with. See if he will take 5 grand for it. Then, negoatiate from there.

Use the decoder at the top to determine if it is a 65 or a 66. They bodies are basically the same. Also, an easy way to determine the difference is to look at the dash pad. If it has the two little "ears" that go on each side of the radio, then it is a 66.
