Default 05+ Passing Smog Test

I have yet to get my car smogged, but I was wondering how much I could get away with being that I live in Cali, the anti-fun state. We have the two outlets and I'm guessing most smog technicians probably wouldn't notice the dump outlet. Do they just stick the sniffers in the chrome pipes or what? If they do does that mean they're only sniffing half of the emmissions? Correct me if I'm wrong guys.Thanks.

Your dumps are only open under throttle, unless you've modded yours.

+1 what Polk said.

You can forget about passing the visual anyway that's unless you have an EO # for those longtubes.

I assmunig you're refering to the butterfly valves Polk. They were rattling so I looped the vaccum line to where they are always open.

I have longtubes on my other stang and the guy I go to has yet to say anything. I don't think he even opens the hood.

I woudn't worry about passing tailpipe, thats unless your x-pipe is catless. You won't have any problems there. It's thos headers that if you get the wrong guy, he won't pass it.

Where do you live in Cali?

My car passed inspection at a smog station in Costa Mesa(they did not check for mods)and its highly modded (the votech on itwas not evenEQ appoved then).

If you live in around Orange County you should go to the same place as me (I bought the car out of statewas stressing as well).

Pm me for the location.

Mine started Rattling after 8,000 miles, Saleen replaced with new system.

The cats are what matter. It doesn't matter if they they look at part of the 'output' or all of the 'output', the A/F ratio will be the same.
