Default bell housing size

is the 3.8 and the 5.0 the share the same bell housing pattern?

They are the same. This is why 3.8 liter 4R70W trannys are getting swapped into older 302 cars. And why 351Ws get swapped into 98s

same thing, just the v6 has "3.8" stamped into it
