Well here's my thread on my car...chalked full of pics

Here's What I have done so far.  I have towed the car to my new house that I moved into and It came with Garage so that's where my baby sleeps.

I am in the process of restoring the interior (need ideas for seats It's open my friends)
I am also in the process of sanding the clearcoat off my car. Then I can just paint over the original 20 year old Shelby Classic Red Paint. For a 20 year old car there is two small patch of surface rust that I just sanded off...They are about the size of something really small I will get pics.  (It's going to be metallic blue) (Enamel) My buddy is going to spray it as long as I sand it down. I have about one half of the car done..well the rear pass side anyway but it's a small car.

Back to the interior I have ripped out the headliner cuz the idiot had it all tacked up and it was messy as hell, So I ripped out the front seats and vaccuumed it all up. The carpet is stained to an extent but a carpet cleaner will take care of that.

the gauges are hopefully all going to be redone. the factory Boost gauge only goes up to 15 and I am pumpin out 22 PSI ...so that's getting replaced along with a manual or Electric Boost controller (whatever I can get a bargain on) The Tach as you see in the one video I have It's pretty wonky. And is stuck about about 5 grand, even though there is no battery or anything in. I think it might be blown. The fuel sending unit kicked it so I have to replace that too so I figured I would buy an aftermarket guage for that. The Tach and Spedometer Are going to get some gauges..(I find aftermarket guages are more reliable and precise.)

A steering wheel might be added nothing fancy but I found a cool one on ebay that I think is neat, The middle is wings then the outside is a black wood grain. its about 60 bucks. I'm getting a new shift boot too I've got that stupid industrial 80s lookin rubber boot  that I don't like. then my buddy's got some Diamond plate I am going to make a surround for, the Neon center console swap came to mind but I think that's just a hoop dream.

Onto mechanical.  I am getting new motor mounts cuz the ones I have are shot but they are about 5 bucks each for front right and front off Rockauto.com

I am redoing the exhaust I was thinking from the Cat back. with a 40 Series. but I want the turbo to be the loudest on the car so I might just go stock ...at least as stock as I can get. as I already said I am going to rebuild the other turbo to head I have maybe with a newer turbo. I need a new CAI the guy bought a cheap Ractive (Wally world) filter but it's crap. I was thinking a cone filter...maybe K&N???  There isn't much wrong with the motor itself just a leaky valve cover gasket, and the motor mounts...and the KMs it has on it...but like I said the top half is gettin rebuilt. cuz I think the bottom half is all forged (feel free to correct me) I was looking for a drop in cam but no luck in my price range.

Thats about it for now ...I'll come back with pics...

did I mention this has to be done for August with three guys workin on it?

I have a bit of work ahead of me and I am lucky I have a job. Dodges....What a money pit  :| I'll never learn.

well I'm out boys, comment away Taker Cheezy.

What do you mean that youre pumping 22psi? I hope you don't mean you're running 22psi.

turbosunleashed.com is probably the largest Turbo Dodge oriented distributor as of right now, along with fwdperformance.com

Believe it or not, I'm also very knowledgable on Turbo Dodges. I had an 87 Dodge 600se, my buddy had an 86 Daytona Turbo Z, and another buddy had an 88 Shelby Z. I was into Turbo Dodges before Turbo Fords.

And yes I cleaned the car out...As you can see it totally needed it. I am going to get more...Cuz I've started sanding, and taking out the little bit of interior.

i would hope with a stainless pipe.

that car would look sick with two stainless pipes coming out of the rear end... or maybe a "nice" tuner muffler

two of these would sound nice

Haven't replaced it with anything yet...I have yet to pull the cat and muffler off.  That fart can was just an enormous tip :|

I am going with stainless steel...Don't think duals is what I want though. It just seems ricey with FWD :P

Go to the junkyard and just lift the hood of every turbododge until you find one that looks the same.

I'd almost say you're retarded to going to the deal for parts for a 20 year old car.

me too :P....on TD I found a guy who has a motor mount (the complete front one) to sell me. It needs a new motor mount but that's easy to change.

Alright Tbird...I need help.  With this wastegate or whatever being blocked for "Max" boost. . . and the factory highest being something like 15....How can I bring it back to stock or something like 8 or 10 PSI cuz right now its rediculous.  You are driving the car and you have to ride the brake to keep the car under 50km/h and thats pretty fast for the streets in town (they are horrible) Therefore stalling the car.
(It's like when a car idles tooo high,  and you barely have to use the gas...I can't remember what RPM  I was at when all this was happening...but that might be my problem)

Also can anyone reccomended a good battery?

I was thinking more like an Optima Redtop but...Whatever I can find I guess...

How about Stainless Steel Rad Hoses and Intercooler hoses?  I looked on Ebay but with this car I think I will have to buy the pieces of pipe and Sleeves then piece it together like I'm going to do with my Exhaust...

What else...ahh new CAI ...I have the box to move it to the fender, but It might interfere with the Steel Intercooler and Rad piping...

It's going to look like this. Just blue not Red...

I have a little tally runnin here...

paint - about 200$ (Body work is done..may need primer and bondo so add another 50$)
Intercooler piping kit - 50-60$
Rad piping - 30-60$
BOV Flange. - 20$
misc paint for Valve cover etc - 30$
Wire Sleeves - 20$
Battery - 75-100$
Used Console - 45$
Motor Mount Bracket - ??$ Buddy hasn't gotten back to me.

So about 450$ to have a normal running car with a little show car touch the motor. Not bad considering I paid 575 for it..

Grand Total - 1025$

The joy of owning my first turbo - Priceless!

oh yeah I forgot exhaust... I need to gut the cat tommorow and clean the oil/antifreeze all over the motor
