Default Mach and LT1..Mach may be in trouble..UPDATE

I live out in the country on a perfectly straight road that's almost a mile long from stop sign to stop sign. Only two other houses on my road. Never any police within miles of here since its such a quiet area. Anyway, my wifes little cousin is home for Easter and his parents live about a half mile from here, so he and his bro have been out enjoying the moon lite nightwe're having, cruising around. Hehas done about 5 WOT flybys down my road tonight in his 94 Z28 with Flows, crap tune, automatic trans, and 3.73s. I couldn't take it anymore, so about an hour ago, I threw on my shoes and took off after him in my Mach. I ran up with him at an old country store a few miles from here.We were parked next to each other shooting the shti for awhile, with bothour cars idling. Mine started smoking thick white smoke bad. Bad enough that I had to turn the engine off so I could see the guy I was talking too. Embarassing andconcerning. Whenwe got ready to leave, I asked him if he thought he could keep up and he said prolly not. I told him to try anyway. I pulled out onto the HWY and gave him time to get beside me, both of us rolling about 15mph. Weboth took off spinning.I gave it all I had and could not get away from him tosave my life. He stayed right on my ass all the way up to 135mph. At that point,Itapped my brakesand he came on around me still hauling ass. I dropped the hammer again and fell in behind him. We ran it up until I was bouncing off my speed limiter and he stayed a constant distance the whole time. I couldn't pull on him or away from him. I don't know if my car is having power issues related to this mysterious white smoke while idling, or ifhis LT1 is simply as fast as my Mach. Whats the deal?

I think it's your car's problems. I have more mods than him and wouldn't be too confident rolling up on a stock Mach 1 even. Is yours an auto? I figured you'd be running better timesif it were a 4.10 geared 5speed. Especially with a 2.0 60'.

Na, I'm a 5spd. The track I go to seems to hook OK in 1st gear, but once I get out to where I shift into 2nd gear, I lose all traction. Its like only the first 100ft is sticky, or maybe I just suck at driving, lol.

I'm afraid it maybe a head gasket.[:@]I've been smelling antifreeze from time to time over the past couple months, but it just started the white colored smoking yesterday when I fired it up, and its not a constant smoking, not yet anyway. Any ideas on what it could be other than a gasket?

And now its time he starts typing wrong, LOL. I knew it was a matter of time.

Back on topic: I'd definately get that checked out. You should put a few lengths on him easily.

No warranty either. If it is head related, I just hope its a gasket and not a cracked head.

Send donations to........
