I got my take off charcoal bullitt wheels and tires last night. They are sweet. I was trying to decide to go with the take offs, or with some DD bullitts like shelby torq thrust. I couldn't be any happier. These things were a bargain for $689 not including shipping. I just couldn't see spending $1800 on wheels and tires. Ordered on a Monday, got here on Thursday, from newtakeoff.com. Pics to follow later.

I'm not feeling it. Maybe you should lower it to even things out. And throw on some Tokico Shocks with the lowering springs . JK! The bullits sure look nice.
I've thought of the FRPP handling kit, but around here, lowering just isn't an option. The car is already low. I know most people do it just to make the car look better, especially the gaps in the wheel well. Here, the roads are bad, even going the few miles to work. I have lots of huge speed bumps I have to traverse everyday. Potholes galore. I don't want a stiffer ride than I have already for the day to day driving. That's when I started looking into the Tokico D specs. User adjustable, I could set them soft for day to day, stiffen them up on the mountain runs. I've also considered just getting the FRPP struts/shocks alone. I wish I could drive/ride in a car with the full FRPP pack installed, to see how it would handle. The local dealer had a Shelby GT it had the FRPP pack installed, and that thing was LOW! Don't know, still looking at all the in's and out's, pro's and con's.

When I do post questions in the main forum, the questions get moved to the tech forums. I would've thought there had to be someone who tried it or has the setup. After I put on the FRPP sways, I like the way it handles in the curves. I think it looks fine at the factory height. Lowering seems to me to create more problems than it's worth. Less suspension travel, less clearance for body parts, stiffer/harsher ride(permanently), steering geometry issues(requiring some sort of camber adjustment), rear axle alignment(requiring adjustable panhard bar or relocation bracket, not included in the FRPP kit). The tokicos are expensive, if they aren't durable, I don't want them. My left rear leaky shock, may be a fluke, the other side isn't leaking. I don't know what caused it.

Your right, lowered cars look nice BUT, if you live were the roads aren't always glass smooth(going through NYC!),forget it. newtakeoff.com has GT shocks(same as V6)CHEAP! Gives you time to save for the EXPENSIVE ones.
