Placed my order for a 2008 GT

Hello -

Just a quick note (my wife isn't nearly as excited as I am...). I placed an order for an Alloy Metallic GT (Automatic) 9 days ago. The wait is killing me (something I'm sure anyone here can understand). They said it could take anywhere from four to eight weeks, but most likely six weeks. I've been dutifully reading posts and have enjoyed reading up on things. I really can't wait to get the call from the dealership when it comes in. Thanks for listening.

welcome to MFs... i'm in the same boat =] i ordered mine 3.13.08 - got a sequence date of 3.18.08so far.. heck yours is probably being made in the same batch as mine..

are you aware of the online tracking ability (as limited as it is) over at http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums...p?showforum=80 - look for new vehicle tracking (you have to have the VIN for it (which you can get from the dealer)

Excellent - I just sent my dealer an email to get a copy of the VIN number and/or Order number. Thanks for the head's up...by the look of things on the forum, people seem to have a ship date a couple of weeks after the sequence date; which could mean we'd be looking at delivery by the end of the month or beginning of April? That's too exciting.

Good deal.. my dealer actually knew they were entering the order that day at the factory(3.13.08) and had said that it could possibly be in my grubby hands in 2 weeks but the normal was 6 to 8 weeks.. i had went in the next day (cause they screwed up, and didn't get all the option packages i wanted) and while i watched him, and verified he got all the options correct, he said "oh.. i got your VIN # too") i was like.. OH YEAH BABY... it's ON now.. lol...

but yeah, from everything i'm seeing in that forum, the end of the month is VERY possible, with the transportation looking like the "unknown length of time"

haven't checked for an update yet this morning, dunno if viperpilot works weekends or not, but we'll see.. =D

I got my VIN# from the dealer on Monday and have been tracking my order; this is what I have so far...hopefully I'll get it in a couple of weeks?
