Hi folks. Yeah, I noticed it's not a Mustang, but I figured one of you guys would know how to help me. What I've got is a 73 Pinto with a 2.3 Turbo out of a 1st gen SVO/Capri RS (carbureted turbo). I'm selling the car and took out my Holley Pro Strip Annhilator ignition and am replacing it with an EEC-IV from a Merkur XR4Ti. I got the distributor from the Merkur, and wired it up to the point that I thought it might run (all grounds, dist. wires, veh. pwr.) When I tried to start it, and couldn't (no spark), I realised the neutral safety wire might be the problem. Should it get a ground or a positive signal? Also, what do I do with the "Keep Alive Power" wire (#1), and Voltage Reference (#26)? Never heard of them before. And does the Spark Out need to go to the negative side of the coil? Any other suggestions? Thanks in advance.
