I have the factory HID headlight option but my fog lights are a yellow color and the HIDs are white/blue. I absolutely love these lights but I'd like to get the fogs to match.

is there an HID foglight kit? or even just new fog light bulbs that are blue or white would be a cheaper solution?

thanks

stangmods has a fog lamp HID kit...

http://www.stangmods.com/2005-Mustang-HID-Fog-Light-Kit-p/00901.htm

you could also just get some lumincs bulbs, they are a lot cheaper and you wouldnt have the yellow tint anymore. not the same as HIDs of course, but it is an option.

my fogs dont seem that yellow.  They look like normal headlights.  Silverstars are nice for the money, and they give it that pure white look.

I put the Plasmaglow Platinum Series (h11) in my wifes 07 Maxima SE witch has factory HID headlights. They match just about perfect (closest i've found). They have 10 year warrenty & DOT compliant. They have the H10's now and have the H13's in R&D so who nows when they will be released. I'll wait for H13's to be released then i'll order the H10 & H13's together for my 2007 Mustang GT. HOPE IT'S SOON.

The factory HID's are 4100K and your H10 fogs are closer to 3200K.  There is no need to go with aftermarket HID's unless you want to go more blue.  Google xenonmatch H10 for options.  There are many different halogen bulbs close to 4100K.  Sylvania SilverStars are 4000K.

I chose the opposite tack and went with yellow 2500K H10's in my fogs.  I like the difference plus yellow lights provide better visibility in fog and we get lots of fog in the San Francisco bay area.

I got mine locally at a auto accessory place where I live. (Lynchburg, Va.)  I paid $40.00 for them. (H11's) I googled them real quik and found the H10 Plasmaglow Platinums for about $42.00 at WWW.ACCESSORYSOURCEDIRECT.COM. Good luck and maybe you can find a better price.

I gotta second mhconley on this issue.

HID fogs maybe look better but the yellow of the fog lights partly contribute to improved visibility in foggy weather.  If you take a look at cars that come with HIDs standard, the fog lights are NEVER also HIDs but are instead an orange/yellow light.  I'd sacrifice the cooler looking HIDs to have functioning fogs... even if you only use it a few times a year they're a big help in those few occasions.

Are you guys sure they are fog lights? I thought they were driving lights. They are hella bright. I get brighted when I have my HID headlights on and my fog/driving lights on. I thought I read that some where.

The stock fog lights have a fog light pattern; short and wide. They don't function well, no matter WHAT bulb you put in them, as driving lights.  It baffles me that anyone would want to jepordize their ability to drive in inclement weather unless you've never experienced dense fog or heavy snow at night. My fogs have the Yellowstars in them and have saved my hide on numerous occasions.
