I have stock brake rotors and they always rust up and look hideous.
i was wanting to get new rotors will this solve the problem, is there anything i should watch out for when buyin new rotors? i like the look of the slotted rotors, there re some on ebay for 100 per rotor and they are "cadmium" plated and supposidly dont rust...
what are good brands and such?

Well any rotor will rust. They put a coating on the rotor to stop the rusing for a while but not forever. If you get a drilled and slotted rotor you will eat away at the brakes more but will not have to worry about the rotors glazing. You must let your car sit for some time to see them rust alot. Typical driving keeeps them from rusting.
rusting isn't a big deal. when it sits or it rains they typically rust but after about a minute of driving it will rub off and the brakes should work just as well as before. drilled/slotted or drilled and slotted rotors dont do anything but allow more air to flow inside to keep the rotor cooler and lowers the amount of time it takes to slow down. i'm sure that if they're made outta metal they might rust at some point too.
Cadmium and other coatings will inhibit rust from forming and are a good option from uncoated rotors. Take a look at our website. We have a number of brands (other than brembo which rusts) that look great.
im not gettin the slotted rotors to prevent the rust, i just want the performance from them, i know the rust isnt hurting them i just dont like the look, thats all

Depending on your setup too, if you can see your rotors through the wheels, I think the drilled and slotted rotors look a lot better than the plain rotors.
yeah, any rotor will rust over time. alot of them claim to be plated with "x-substance" and that will keep the rust away for a while, but will eventually wear off and they will rust just like before. and as said above, the rust will go away after the first few times you hit the brakes anyways. i bought a set of drilled/slotted rotors off of ebay for like $250 that were plated and i have had them on for almost 2 years with no real rust issues. i bought the drilled/slotted mainly because of the fact that they look alot better behind my wheel.
