Default '04 V6 3.8L 5speed

Alright peeps, need some help with my V6. The subject line should explain it all. Need help with exhaust, intake, body kit, rims, and general knowledge of the parts (whether V8 stuff will fit V6).
Ok... First off, the intake. Looking to get the best sound and performance. Looked into a K&N stock filter using original intake canister. But looking for performance. Would the whole intake kit be better and further more will a BBK intake be a better fit than K&N?
Now exhaust. Currently a single pipe. Beings that I'm a V6, would the H-pipe convert be better than the Y-pipe and/or would the X-pipe fit. I want the loudest sound, but least loss in power or backpressure. If you haven't guess, I want duels either way.
Now I've only peaked at a few body kits. Wondering how many kits are out there and what can I make my little pony sleek and sharp. Being able to find kits already painted would be a benifit providing I don't have a garage to do all the work with. Second about body kits, I have looked at plans for cutting th roof off and making it a detachable hard-top. Is it worth it and ho bad will it leak?
Rims- Looking to put 18s in the back and either keeping 16s or puting 17s up front. I want to have her sit on the old fashion little tires up front, and big tires in the back. How bad will this screw the car up and/or will it be better to have an even around set?
Now Final, general knowledge. Looking at engine parts was pretty easy, but I found more for the V8 or at least marked for them instead of the V6. Say the throttle body for instance. Would a high performance throttle body built for the V8 fit and work on a V6?

If anyone can help me figure some/few/all of these things out, it would be appreciated a lot in customizing my little pony. She is deffinately a cute car now, but how hot can I get her to look, sound, and run?

Since you have had some clicks and no feedback......Here's my 10 cents......

Intake - I would recommend buying this intake, its what I have and a lot of people on this site have the same one....You can put a K&N filter on the end of it if you would like, this intake looks, sounds, and performs great.
( You can pick these up off ebay or a online shop)

Exhaust - I would recommend a H pipe for your dual setup, it sounds better than a X or Y pipe on the stangs I've heard...I'm not so sure on the backpressure issue...If you want your exhaust to sound GREAT I would also recommend the Flowmaster 40 series mufflers I just recently got them and they improve HP a little bit....AND THEY SOUND GREAT!! Very deep sound close to V8.

Body Kit- Hmmm. Well there are all the replica body kits(Roush, Mach 1, Saleen, Cobra) Which would all make your car look GREAT...And a few others that are more universal like something I have (Which I get some neg. feedback from but I like it and thats what matters..)

Rims- There are a ton of rims you can get for your stang...Some of the most popular are the bullet, cobra, and saleen rims.... It would be a little economical to have the same size rims and tires all the way around so you can rotate them.(Unless your rich and can afford to buy new tires when they get bald.) But the old look I think would look tight but its what you like...

V8 parts on a V6- It all depends on the part. There are some parts that will fit on your 6er and some that will only fit with modifaction...

I can't wait to hear and see about your car keep me posted!

I would get a mac cold air kit, I doubt just changing the filter will give you any performance gains. Most cold air kits are pretty much the same. I would get a mac h pipe with cats and any gt cat back for exhaust. As long as you have cats you should have enough back pressure for your engine. If your gonna get a throttle body I would get the mac 70mm for the 3.8 stang. It will bolt right up no problem. I personally have no interest in body kits, I bought the car for its looks and don't want to change it. For rims I personally like the 17 or 18 in deep dish bullets that are a gunmetal color.

Thank you all for your help and oppinions. Once I get my front fender fixed from an accident in the snow, I'll get some pics posted of original and mods made as I go. Thanx again!

Was wondering, if I changed the throttle body, would that help with performance a little?? Further more, are the GT throttle bodies the same size/fit as my V6? Also if they are, some one had recomended a 70mm throttle body, would I need a spacer and what brand would they recommend???

A throttle body will give you maybe 5hp on a stock engine but it will greatly improve throttle responce. Mac Performance has the cheapest 70mm throttle body. Its probably going to be one of my next mods.

I noticed when viewing that website for the MAC throttle body it says 01-04 V6 70mm. Now is that specifically for the V6, or if I were to look at any 70mm for a stang, will it fit. Like is the GT or V8 throttle bodies different from the V6? Also will I need a spacer for it?
