hey i just got back from the shop and had her dyno tuned, just wondering if any one has done it yet and what thier numbers are, im dynoed at about 230 to 240 at the flywheel, i have to go back, we ran about 6 runs just tyring to get the fuel air ratio just right, for some reason i was running seriously mean, and the tech were like oh sish when they saw how lean i was running so by the time we started a=on the tune they said the engine was so hot that that was the best they could do today, ill probably stick with that for now, anybody wlse know thiers

I ran 166.5 at the rear wheels. Mine is kinda low but I found out that if you do any mods to it and don't reflash you can actually lose alittle power. So now I'm waiting for Diablo to finish the Predator for the V6

I want to get dyno tuned but the only place close wants to charge me $1,000 cause he has to buy the license to do my car. I'm like uh no why am i gonna pay your license cost when your the one thats gonna be able to use it. I am hoping to pull around a 190 at the wheels i am thinking i have somewhere around 230-240 at the flywheel but i have noticed some pinging so i may be running lean also.

202 at the wheels and you have the headers already on? I am running 199rwhp with Xcal/93 tune,MMR CAI, and Magnaflow axleback. Makes me wonder how bad the factory headers REALLY are??

well my wifes uncle is an exec for ford and i could have gotten the gt for the same price. you ever think some people dont wont the gt. infact the only time i really think about the gt is when im on this forum and i read post by people like you. oh and 02 gt. did you know the differenc in acceleration between stock 05 v6 and your stock v8 is only 5 mph,on a long enough time scale thats a lot but in the streets its nothing. my v6 might not impress you, but i would rather have my 6 than your 8, and as for spending money on mods, do you realize after spending the money you will spend on you gt, you could have bought sometyhing else faster. think about it

I will run my 05 V6 against your 02 GT anyday of the week, fella. I may not win, but I will look MILES better and have paid less. Come to think of it, I may even win by a nose.

Na, I may be ballsy....but not dumb enough to take on a 05 GT. I am curious to see a dyno with those JBA Headers... there is a guy on here that says that they make a huge difference. Oh well, if they don't.... will save me a bunch of cash for other mods!

The gears will add a lot of punch to your take off and accelaration. Makes a big difference in your RPM's and shifting. There a lot of post in the V8 Forum if you are interested in learning more... thats how I decided to get mine. I am sorry to hear about your accident, that stinks.

BLACKHORSE, Here is what someone wrote about the jba headers...

there is a very noticeable increase in hp/tq. At a stop with the breaks on, she surges beneath you. She lives to rev... much faster and harder than before or even with just the GT axle-back (which was a nice improvement over stock). I haven't done a dyno yet or taken it on the freeway... just stop and go city traffic. I'll open 'er up a bit more this afternoon.

JBA had a dyno on their site of the 4.0L Ranger with headers, ignition wires and their evolve axle-back that shows about a 17hp gain. I'd guess similar gains with the headers and GT muffler (or maybe any higher flowing muffler). She was fun before, but now she's starting to feel like a true muscle car... from a single exhaust even!
